Great night at lucy's on a plate. The menus are printed daily with a lovely daily notice on the front which i thought was a lovely touch. The food was delicious, great portion sizes and there were lots of gluten free options for my boyfriend. The steak was cooked great and was served with a heaping of garlic butter and peppercorn sauce (the garlic butter is insane) My only downside of the food was the chicken was slightly overcooked but the flavours of the dish and other components were great so balanced it out Staff were on the whole good, welcoming. Knocked a star off because the relaxed environment meant that staff often were talking a lot to the guests and it took a while to get our orders in.

It’s always tricky eating out as a coeliac (gluten allergy), however I really appreciated the effort that the staff went to this evening to rectify a mistake with my order of gluten free food. A whole new meal was cooked and they provided a drink on the house. The food and atmosphere were both great. Thanks team!

We came here on our first nights stay in Ambleside, and it turned out to be our favourite restaurant of the week! The food was excellent, and the cocktails are also very good, particularly the margaritas. They were very helpful with accommodating my gluten intolerance with a lot of gluten free options to chose from, and also dog friendly! Highly recommend.
