Traditional fish and chips in a friendly, welcoming place. My wife has coeliac and the owner couldn't have done more for her. The gluten free batter on her fish was just as crisp and golden as my regular portion. Excellent experience all round, will definitely come again!!
Went for lunch with a party of 19 people.
We rented the private room on the first floor. The food was pre-booked. The staff was excellent, polite and friendly.
The food was very good, with plenty of gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options.
For a 3 course meal we spent around £35 per person.
If we are in the area again we'll definitely pop in.

Ordered a gluten free regular chips cheese and gravy, such huge portion of chips and so much cheese i was actually in shock😍 delivery time was little and all came fresh and hot. First place that has actually not hurt my belly being a coeliac!!
Brilliant. Initially couldn't fit me in as they were packed but managed to sort a table for me after a short wait. Really extensive menu, loads of gluten free options, good portions and well priced. What's not to love. Fabulous dining room too.
Oh, and the most amazing secret for us gluten free people who like a coffee after dinner.
A post holiday meal on our way back from the Isle of Skye and we were not disappointed. Absolutely amazing food, great service and a great atmosphere. I cannot recommend this place enough. Fantastic choice for any gluten free diners as well. Thanks Alexandros for a perfect end to a holiday!!
Love everything about Gianni's, including how warm the owner is.
Try the Crostini Capra, it's fantastic and not something you'd normally find.
They also have options for gluten-free diners :)
I been in a few times, so I have picked a few things up.
They have done a really good job, looked at alot of designs, and put alot of thought into their decor.
They say words are cheap, but from the floorboards to the ceiling, everything intergreats and is not there by accident.
All together they have 299 portraits, prints, photos and tapestry hanging from their walls. (I should know i counted them- the things I do for you folks)
The menu is quite extensive, and prices range from just under £3 to just under £16.
On the back of the menu, you will find the drinks menu. Again you will find anything that can hold a cup, glass, or bottle, all of various shapes and sizes with the prices to match, alcoholic or non alcoholic.
I learned today, that they also have a vegan and gluten free menu.
This establishment is very fastidious, and careful, as everywhere else should be, in asking ALL customers if they have any allergies, which is a good thing.
There is a lounge area, to drink coffee, large flowing staircase, and seating upstairs. Remember everywhere you look you will see a picture.
Also upstairs you will find the toilets. I was disappointed here, though the toilets are clean, they are just not big enough. 1 loo for that size of establishment isn't really good enough.
Down stairs at a side entrance there a level area for wheelchair access. Also downstairs you will find a disabled toilet.
Well I hope that's through enough for you folks.
UPDATE 30/5/25
I was back in again, and I noticed that as you enter you will find some crayons for the children to use. On a table near the staircase you will find colouring pads, so definitely child friendly.
Also to the establishments credit, I noticed that animals were also welcome.
Outside i noticed they had placed some tables and chairs.
The food was fantastic
The staff are very friendly and helpful especially with my girlfriend being gluten and lactose free they looked after her very beautiful
Went for my husbands birthday meal, very very slow service. We waited 30 mins just for our drink! Don’t get me started on the food. We always tip good. Our bill came to over £200 and it was that bad, we couldn’t even face to tip, my father in law is celiac and they hardly had anything in for him, no pasta etc, very very poor! Don’t promote you do gluten free if you don’t have anything in! the only good thing was the girls lent me a lighter to light my husbands birthday cake - we won’t be back and this is I’ll be posted elsewhere In several place :(
Lovely restaurant, with great cocktails and hard working staff. It's in a nice part of town, with a quirky interior. When we went they could have done with one more member of staff as they were run off their feet and we were sometimes waiting a while. There is a massive range on their menu, too much in my opinion and it varies from Indian food, to Italian and common British fare. They were very accommodating of gluten free with their menu. The burgers and nachos were good, but I wouldn't recommend the Burrata starter or the kebabs which were quite dry.
Overall I would recommend it for the cocktails, the service, location and the decor. It's a shame they can't take tip on the card machine nowadays, and the signs to the bathroom could be a lot clearer.
We ate at Le Mezzulina on our day out experiencing the Settle to Carlisle rail journey. It was very near to the station so easy to find. We had a lovely welcome and staff seemed really well informed about gluten free options. Always good for me as I have coeliac desease. All our meals were really good but my gluten free pizza was one of the best i have ever had. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, especially because of the time restriction on this trip.
Excellent. Best gluten free breakfast I've had in a long time and great price too. Friendly service. Definitely worth a go, beats the Travelodge breakfast!
