Friendly, helpful waitstaff. Relaxed decor with exposed stone. Dark at first, since there's almost no natural light, but once your eyes adjust, it's not bad. There seems to be a nice variety of drinks. There is a bar, booth and table seating.
The salad was simple, but nice nonetheless. The food wasn't extraordinary, but I can't fault much other than a lack of presentation and perhaps a higher quality of ingredients would improve the experience.
They do have a small section on the menu for gluten free options (three items), which is more than many can say. The waiter did ask if I needed the food to be truly gluten free, which made me feel more secure in the preparation of that dish. He also made a point to keep the non-gluten-free items separate as he brought them the table.
I eat here in Muscatine IA occasionally. But in the past 4 visits (the first 2 and then today of the 4 visits), I went home with diarrhea. I was fine before I got there. There's only one time of the 4 visits (3rd visit) that was different, the manager, who always seems to cook my gluten sensitive pizza, was not there! I spent almost $45.00 to get diarrhea? I'll not go back if she's there ever again! I plan to go back tomorrow with the remainder of the pizza and my recipe for a refund. We'll see how that goes. Not happy!
One of my favorites. I appreciate gluten-free dining options being clearly offered on the menu. The food is fresh, and our server was courteous and answered our questions about dishes easily.
