For context, I live in Norwalk, OH, which is about fourteen miles that-a-way from Sandusky. Norwalk is a pizza town through and through, to the point that almost all of the chain corporate food or ethnic food in town is pushed out to the edges of town, with one extremely notable Chinese restaurant smack dab on the corner of Main Street and the state route that the Sandusky Mall is on.
Within the context of gluten-free pizza, this place narrowly beats anything in Norwalk, and at a slightly lower price point because their gluten-free crust size is just big enough to share with one person. Well done!
Their tomato-based sauce is okay, but the chicken alfredo just does something to that cauliflower crust. Get the alfredo sauce. Hell, just ask for that sauce on whatever pizza you ordered. Trust me.
We got pizza to go and it was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. If you like thin crust then you will love this pizza. It was the perfect donenness and you can tell they use quality cheese and sauce. My wife was also able to get a gluten, dairy and soy free pizza and it was really good too. I got ranch to dip my pizza in and it wasn’t needed but I use it on some crust and it was good and homemade too.
Visiting from Michigan and stopped in for dinner. Spent more per person because two of us got the yellow perch which was to die for. Big portions, reasonable pricing, tastes like a family recipe. Also plenty of gluten free options.
I love 5 guys. Awesome fries, great burgers. It's my Friday cheat meal!!
Update 5/30/22: My wife has Celiac, so I asked for gluten free and they delivered. I didn't even realize you could get a lettuce wrap burger! She loved it
Awesome sandwich and flatbread shop. All the employees and owners are super nice and willing to customize anything. Many gluten free and vegetarian options available, absolutely delicious flavors of sauces and spreads! Plenty of parking available and they do take out as well so you can call and order ahead. I am very impressed with the options available! Highly recommended! 🥪🥗
Stopped over while in Sandusky and would recommend! The place was busy for the eclipse but the employees were so nice and considerate.
It’s a great fast casual option! We ordered the teriyaki rice bowl and it was tasty and great value
They do have veg and GF options listed though it doesn’t seem celiac safe as they have non gf options
We love Olive Garden and usually have a great experience but not at this location. We had a Celiac in our party. We were very clear we needed gluten free noodles. When the food came out the person said gluten free chicken parmigiana but the noodles were NOT. Only found out after a few bites of the noodles. That wasn’t the worst part we were served raw chicken in the pasta dish. It wasn’t just a little pink. The chicken looked like it wasn’t even cooked at all. This restaurant experience has turned our thoughts of Olive Garden and we won’t be back to any.
Amanda was fantastic in helping us with our daughter’s Celiac-safe food selections. She was also training Tory at the same time as admirably handling our large softball group for dinner.
Great food, great atmosphere and great service! Shannah was an amazing waitress. She made sure we had absolutely everything we needed/wanted!
Also! They have a gluten free menu!
Just visiting town and Crush was recommended to us. Excellent meal and service all around. We started with the olives and pate. My wife is Gluten Free, so they gave us half bread and half cucumber slices. Delicious.
For the main meal, we chose the Halibut special and the seafood pasta dish - both home runs.
We had a house Savignon Blanc and the sour beer (this one is very sour). They have a great wine selection and a number of drafts.
Highly recommended.
This place is AMAZING. We got ramen and fried rice, and wow it was so delicious. They have a wide variety of gluten free options as well as vegetarian. Sooo customizable and really get to choose what you want!
Good food, great drinks and a friendly staff. They have great vegetarian options and can make dairy or gluten free options happen depending on the seasonal menu.
