This cafe is simply exceptional. Thank goodness for the sign on US151, or I would never have known to stop by. The last thing I expected in rural SC was an outstanding vegan meal. Without question, the best vegan burger I’ve ever had. The best vegan and gluten-free burger bun I’ve ever had! Soft! Beautiful-tasting! And the burger itself? Bloody incredible. The special sauce was the kicker. Everything about this burger was uber delicious. The fries were excellent as well - perfect size, perfect handcooked taste. The meal was so large I could have taken some back to the truck with me but I wanted to eat it all in the restaurant because I just loved being there. A very safe place for trans people 🏳️⚧️Great music!! Wonderful, wise messages on the wall from the cafe’s namesake, Eliza Jenkins. Her granddaughter Markeyshi, the owner (pictured), and her talented cook gave me such a warm welcome and a restaurant experience that I will always remember. Thank you so much 🧡 Worth driving for from Montana. Worth travelling from Aotearoa NZ 🇳🇿 for, for that matter! Giving Eliza’s a 500-star recommendation. Hope I can return very 🔜

This is an update. I went here last night and there was a bunch of younger people working. One was super friendly but kept screwing up our order. The girl who prepared the subs was a bit rude, didn't take my gluten allergy seriously, and just had an overall attitude that she could careless if she were there. The place was also not kept clean as customers came and went. They were also behind on online orders. I hope this changes because I like this location.

Store was clean and well lit. My son and I have Celiac Disease and can't eat gluten. We were on a long drive and stopped here for lunch. The staff preparing our food was so considerate and through. They cleaned the prep area, used a separate tray for our gluten free stuff and used freshly washed utensils. Most places grumble and groan about this, the staff here was all to happy to help. We often don't feel safe eating out, but here we did. Thanks so much guys and gals, it's greatly appreciated.

Sometimes it's hard to eat healthy while traveling, so I was glad to eat some salad for lunch from the salad bar. All the ingredients looked pretty fresh, and it was easy to make a salad that was gluten free.
