Really enjoyed their pizza; I made my own with onions, pepperoni, and mushrooms. Crust was crisp, not real thin. My wife had their gluten-free crust and it was crispy too. Great selection of beer to accompany the pizza.
Went for the first time today and it was better than I could have imagined!! Such a kind and welcoming environment. Tons of quality loose leaf tea to choose from. Got an espresso drink and a gluten free poppy seed muffin that was still warm from the oven, absolutely delicious. Too good not to go!!!
Love to eat at Black Bear! We come here with friends when we want a quick and casual meal. I've never left here disappointed with the food and service is always quick! We have both celiac and vegan food restrictions in our friend group, but Black Bear can handle both! Occasionally it can get loud in the restaurant, but it really just depends on if you're there during super busy hours.
I have a serious gluten allergy. Staff is knowledgeable and careful. I eat here frequently and have not been “glutened”. Their crab dip with gluten free pizza crust is delicious. I made a reservation in order to sit outside with a view of the river.
This place was so wonderful! As a plant based and mostly gluten free family it can be a little challenging to find lots of options in town, but Oryza has amazing options and they’re delicious! The staff was incredible and the restaurant was super clean. We loved the atmosphere and the meals we got. We will definitely be back again!
Great place and open late. I was able to place my Gluten Free order and the waitress helped me finding what options are gluten free. Plus, they do have a dedicated Gluten free menu in their tablet. I would recommend for people with celiac and have gluten allergies.
Being a celiac, I wish they had more gluten free food, but they have best real chicken ever and the BEST milkshakes over anyplace who serves milkshakes! They should train all fast food places with drive-thrus on system they use! Never mix up orders, with two long lines, I never wait longer than a few minutes. Excellent, friendly service, they never act rushed or inpatient with customers. A++++++
Madison greeted us with the best smile! Very knowledgeable about by gluten concerns. She kept the shrimp coming till I had to stop her. This was my first experience here and I plan on coming back! Thank you for a special dinner.
Great for vegetarians and us gluten- sensitive people :)Ordered online and picked up 30 minutes later a delicious Indian Feast :) My husband and I picked new menu items to try and have made the executive decision everything is amazing and you should change up your order for variety. Being stuck in the house we really appreciate having someone else cook us a super yummy meal. Tonight we ordered a mix grill, butter chicken, veggie spring rolls, Navaratna Kurma, Chicken Dosa, Garlic Naan and a bunch of sides. Highly recommend for lunch and dinner :)
So glad we found this place! I’m celiac and the menu is clearly marked with gluten-free options. Delicious food and the owners and staff know their menu for anyone with food allergies or special preferences. We’ll be back!
Such an exquisite place to eat with family! Our server, Robbie, made our visit so special! The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks cold and endless, and the attention paid to our party was just the perfect balance of making sure we had what we needed and giving us time to chat and share stories! The entire experience was like being cared for by a relative, and after a long drive or a busy day, when all you want in the world is something good to eat and a little time to talk with your loved ones, this is the place to go. People feel loved here. The food is so tasty, with something for everyone, from our nine-year-old to the dad who loves spicy things to an uncle who loves bacon and a mom who can have gluten but really shouldn't. The servers understand families here, and have the respect to ask whether a young lady of nine will require a lid, knowing some prefer it (ours likes it, as she hates to spill even a drop on the coloring page of the kids' menu, but her one aunt refused one as undignifed at that same age,) and don't bat an eye when kids ask for diet. (You wouldn't believe the odd looks some servers at other places give. Not here! Kids are respected here as part of the family!)
My partner and I used to eat here occasionally as broke students when our parents visited or for the most special of occasions, I ate at other Eat n' Parks as a child and these days we live too far away to take our little girl to the lovely old Eat n' Park. The Christmas commercial with the tree, the Smiley cookies, it's all part of my expat-Pittsburgher, WVU-grad heritage, and for weeks, our daughter has talked of taking her uncle there. She remembered Eat n' Park mainly from family stories and visits to Pittsburgh as a little thing, and she was so excited to visit one now that she is a great big girl of nine, planning a trip herself.
(It is entirely possible that she got...perhaps a little confused between our stories of Eat n' Park, 'Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies' and the scenes in 'Rent' at the Life Cafe after Maureen's show, this child's grandparents were WVU theater majors and she seemed a little puzzled at the lack of musical numbers, but the food was so very good and she was so absolutely enchanted by Smiley cookies, we persuaded her that those must happen when the theater majors eat there, i.e., after plays.)
Everything was so lovely, I was honestly surprised by the bill. In these times, I'm used to paying much, much more for such an experience. We will be back again soon!
I ordered a gluten free pizza and it is by far the best gluten free crust I have found in town. I almost couldn't believe it was GF! The crust was comparable to a NY style pizza. It has just the right amount of sweetness and a bit of a crunch. Most GF pizzas around town are undercooked and floppy. I would 100% recommend this to anyone! The service was great as well. You ABSOLUTELY have to try this pizza. So delicious!
Being recently diagnosed with celiac disease, having a restaurant with a menu entirely gluten free is amazing. We had Korean, Mexican, Thai, and Vietnamese cuisine all on the same table and it was executed to perfection. The owner / manager was very helpful and made a great recommendation for the spicy pork Korean tacos. Will be coming back very soon! Definitely give it a try if you enjoy good food!
I had never eaten Paa John's before, they didn't used to have thin crust and didn't have gluten free. I was in pain last evening and couldn't stand to cook anything. Looked up pizza delivery near me in downtown Morgantown. I had used Domino's twice and the gf I ordered was cold, slst burnt- cooked till it was dried out!
I saw Papa John's near me. Went online and ordered a gf, then realized the small gluten free was more expensive by several dollars to a large. So I tried the cheesy burger pickle new one. Thin crust. It was so buttery tasting, hot when arrived, juicy, and pickles were excellent on it. They also give me choices to have it sliced! I prefer square cut. BEST PIZZA IN LONG TIME! I read reviews, some boycotting it because of politics over a few different issues. SHAME on those reviewers! Leave politics out of private businesses and franchises!
Great pizza, have Domino's beat hands down! Easy to order exactly what I wanted on line--and I AM NOT a techy person!
Keep it up Papa John's! A+++++
I went through the drive through and the service was excellent. My order was correct and the employee at the window was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Highly recommend the Turtle Signature Iced Latte, perfect for the warm days ahead. The omelet bites are a good choice for us gluten friendly folks.
This is a great place for food and coffee! The CBR quesadilla, and the grilled chicken sandwich are both my personal favorites. The range of drink flavors is incredible! I love getting an iced fez tea with blackberry and raspberry on a hot day. I also looove the banana pancake latte, a true work of art. Oh, and don’t get me started about all of the local craft beer options!!!! They always keep a cider on tap, which I love, and are usually gluten free. I like coming here in the evenings to do homework and relax with a beer.
The weekends are usually a little hectic, but I feel like that is similar to most places in town on the weekends. The employees are always trying their best.
We stayed at The Cranberry Hotel and Tropics is immediately next door to the hotel. We ordered pick up. We loved the food.
The cauliflower crust pizza was really good! Although after researching the brand of crust used I was disappointed to find out it was not keto friendly but was gluten free.
The ribeye steak was delicious; tender and cooked perfectly to our liking. We also enjoyed a few wings that were nicely done and tasty.
We live about 30 minutes from the location so a couple weeks later we decided to dine in at Tropics. Once again the food was great. The disappointment came in at the over all shabby condition of the dining room. Peeling wallpaper, worn out banquette seating, cobwebs at the ceiling level.
The kitchen is doing their share by providing good food carefully prepared. Service was also very good.
It's time for the investors to reinvest in their investment and redo the interior.
Food was delicious, service was fast and they were super nice! Always happy to find a place with gluten free options. My daughter and her roommate were very happy to hear they are coming to high street late night.
This place was amazing. One of the best meals I've ever had. 27oz ribeye was perfection. Oyster appetizer was fantastic, French onion soup some of the best I've ever had. 12/10 would eat again. Extremely knowledgeable about celiac and plenty of options!
