Risotto quantity was small considering the price. Four Seasons pizza was nice but nothing special. The crust was crispy but not up to the standard of a restaurant that calls itself Italian.
Tartufata pizza had mediocre crust, lacking gluten, elasticity, and moisture. The cheese was tasteless. Yet another tourist trap. The waitress was very pleasant, though.
I went to eat with my family. My mother can't eat gluten, and they have options. The restaurant is very nice, the food was delicious, and the waiters treated us incredibly well. I definitely recommend it 100%.
Very tasty and convenient. Gluten Free pasta available at a €1 euro mark up and was good.
My sister was able to get a creamy vegan pesto pasta that was also gluten free.
Only complaint would be that we asked if a vegan pesto option was available having seen it in a previous review but not on the menu - were told it was possible but it was rung up and charged at the same price as the similar dish which included chicken, a much more expensive ingredient without an alternative.
Overall would recommend!
The food was delicious, there are also vegan and gluten-free options. Unfortunately, the gluten-free option is not vegan. The waiter was friendly and super fast. The kitchen is open and gives a clean and nice impression. People will enjoy eating here again.
A very good option for celiacs. There are vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options (both pasta and pizza). The food is generally good. It's not spectacular, but there's a variety. Average price is 20-30 euros per person.
Great place, I highly recommend it, we had been looking for days for a place that made gluten-free pizza and first courses and we finally found it! Very welcoming place, super friendly and smiling staff, we also asked for variations on the pizzas and they made them without any problem! Delicious pizzas! Kudos to the management
I'm from Barcelona, and during my five-day stay in Amsterdam, I went to Lucca Due twice for dinner. I'm celiac, and the gluten-free dishes are some of the best I've ever tried. Plus, the service from the staff is exceptional. Highly recommended! Carlos
I really enjoyed this place. I admitted it’s in the middle of the central district of Amsterdam and very close to the central train station, and yes, it is a bit touristy, but the staff was very pleasant and the food was very good. It also offered a variety of gluten-free options, including both pasta and pizza, which was very nice since most of the Italian restaurants in Amsterdam only offer gluten-free pasta and not pizza. It’s friendly here, and if you sit outside, there is an excellent opportunity to people watch. I do not think you’ll be disappointed, if you’re looking for a casual but quality experience.
Food was so-so. Many things not available (including gluten free pasta which was advertised and the reason we came). Service was inconsistent. Not terrible but definitely not up to expectation.
Gluten-free card! Really nice that this is there. This way you know exactly what you can and cannot order, and that for a pizza restaurant. More restaurants can follow this example. I personally went for the carpaccio and the chicken wings. Really enjoyed it. Was very tasty.
A restaurant we came across by chance, the food was incredibly delicious and we drank a very nice Italian beer, it is recommended and everything, including the beer, is gluten-free.
The four of us ate lasagna, insalata mista, pizza twice and pasta once. The pasta was gluten free.
All dishes were very tasty, although the pizza base was perhaps a bit too firm.
Service was friendly and quick.
Reasonably priced for the location.
We sat outside. Some Amsterdam guests.
Overall, highly recommended.
A paradise for vegans and people who eat gluten-free. Large selection of dishes with inspiration from all over the world, all with a modern twist. Colorful, nutritious and very tasty. The chef is friendly and, in addition to cooking deliciously, he is also an attentive host. We enjoyed it and will definitely come back very soon.
Highly recommend for Celiacs and others! The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. The owners were really welcoming and accommodating of my gluten free diet. I ate there not once, but TWICE on a recent trip to Amsterdam. Having Celiac Disease, when you find a restaurant with great food you can trust, you go back again and again! I had delicious GF pasta with a pesto sauce one evening, and went back again with my mother another night, when I enjoyed risotto. I experienced friendly service, great atmosphere, and wonderful food both times. The owners treated us to this limoncello ice drink after our meal, which was the perfect ending!
Italian feel-good restaurant with taste, heart and quality
The Ristorante Novecento in Haarlem was a real stroke of luck for us - just a few minutes' walk from our hotel and rather reserved on the outside, a wonderful surprise awaits you inside: authentic Italian cuisine, attentive service and a welcoming, family atmosphere.
The menu is exemplary - you rarely see it so clear and well thought out: gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options are clearly marked, which makes the selection very pleasant. Even allergy sufferers or people with special dietary requirements can easily find something suitable here. What's particularly nice is that the dishes are creative, but still classic enough to delight the Italian heart.
We opted for the vegetarian appetizer platter – the burrata was outstanding! There was also a calzone and a pizza with avocado and fried onions - an unusual but extremely tasty combination. The pizza dough was exceptionally good: perfectly baked, crispy on the outside, airy on the inside - you can taste that the work here is done with know-how and passion.
Further advantages from our experience:
• Very friendly and warm service, attentive without being intrusive
• Fresh, high-quality ingredients that come into their own in every dish
• Really good value for money – quality at fair prices
• Atmospheric, cozy atmosphere that is ideal for a relaxed evening
• Also suitable for families or groups with different preferences (thanks to the versatile menu)
The only small note: at peak times it can get a little more crowded and lively - but for us this only added to the atmosphere.
Conclusion: If you are looking for honest, fresh Italian cuisine in Haarlem - with particular attention to different dietary requirements - you should definitely stop by Novecento. For us it was one of the culinary highlights of our stay!

For me it can only be great because I can eat gluten-free with a clear conscience🙏
I recently had a great dinner at Bier- en Wijncafé De Keet, and I can only recommend this experience. The food was exquisite, with well-balanced flavors and beautiful presentation. The atmosphere in the café is warm and cozy, perfect for a relaxing evening out.
What was particularly striking was the attention to gluten-free options. The staff was well informed and really thought along, which is a huge plus for people with dietary requirements. This gives a feeling of confidence and completes the enjoyment.
In addition, the selection of beers and wines is excellent. The employees are happy to help you with a suitable choice, which makes the experience even more special.
In short: a wonderful culinary experience, friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. Definitely recommended!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Lovely place with tasty food AND GF friendly!
They can do all their pizzas and most pastas (apart from ravioli) gluten free.
I had one of the gluten free pizzas - delicious!
Had an unbelievable meal here. They brought over the most amazing gluten free bread I have ever had! I had other people try it at the table and they couldn’t believe how good it was. We ordered appetizers for the table and one of the appetizers was on regular bread. One of the staff noticed this and had the kitchen quickly make a small gluten free version for me! So sweet. I had a pasta dish with GF pasta as well. All the food was fantastic. 10/10 would recommend.
Busy, very busy, but they can handle it well, excellent service.
The dishes also taste good, nothing to complain about!
And...they serve pizzas with gluten-free base!
A pizza without tomato sauce was a new experience and we will definitely try it more often. Started out great on the terrace and when it got colder we were allowed to eat our main course inside. Unfortunately the gluten-free pizza base was less tasty than I have eaten at other restaurants. But the topping was delicious! And the limoncello spritz is highly recommended just like the tiramisu (I heard from the others😂)
We ate delicious pizzas here, and the gluten-free pizza is also recommended. Friendly and smooth service.
Small point: there are no coat racks, so the coat has to go over the chair. Not a problem in itself, unless that coat is soaking wet from the rain. And when you sit on the couch you have to put the coat next to you, where it might bother others. Especially when it's wet! 🌧️
Also highly recommended; we will definitely come back 👍🏽
One of the most exquisite Italian places in Amsterdam. They have it all from delicious wines to fresh seafood and even offer many options gluten free. This place isn't on a busy street but shouldn't be missed. Make sure to get a reservation. Try the gambretti saltati (prawns), risotto porcini, and the tiramisu.
The food was very tasty, the plates were very small for the price, I ate the starter and main course and didn't really get full. We waited a very long time for the food.
There was gluten-free pasta, 5 stars for that.
Pizza is very tasty, crispy as it should be. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would also recommend tiramisu. And they also have gluten-free pizza.
Delicious food for the first time under new ownership. The pizzas and pastas were delicious. Also baked delicious pizza for my children with gluten intolerance (celiac disease). Recommended.
We've been here a few times and were lucky to have had great experiences with the staff after reading some of the reviews below. Service time has always been reasonable, it's a place to sit down with someone or a few people and enjoy company - the environment is very welcoming, so if you are not on a tight schedule, this place is worth coming! My mother in law is celiac and they had a nice variety of gluten free options for her. The drinks were nice and the food was tasty. We will return.
Very tasty food; partner gluten-free pasta with a lot of flavor and I had a Calsone pizza with a topping of Bolognese sauce. Delicious and large portion (really not childish) with Parma ham and melon as a starter.
Super tasty food! Gluten-free possible (please indicate in advance). I had choices of different types of pastas or gnocchi. And there was a delicious dessert (also a choice)! The service was good, fun and attentive. Furthermore, the atmosphere was nice and cozy (in a positive sense). We will definitely go back again, there will be a different menu because it changes regularly. Mi Piace!

Gluten-free pasta! ☺️ Highly recommended for those who can't tolerate gluten. I ordered both gluten-free pasta and gluten-free risotto, and they were delicious. There was no long wait time, and the staff was very friendly.
