I strongly recommend Sara the Wine Bar on Sepulveda in Culver City for anyone who enjoys wine and Italian cuisine. I fell in love with the gluten free Polenta! Under the hot plates section and only $13, the home-style corn meal is on a bed of homemade bolognese sauce, topped with Parmesan cheese, which can be left off if you’re lactose intolerant. The service is top notch and they have a good amount of indoor seating, as well as a bar. To make a reservation, call during their business hours - they open at 5pm. Bottles of wine are 10% off, so our group shared 3 of the chilled red 2020 vintage of Domaine de Fenouillet Ventoux, Rhone, France, which went from $44 to $40. If you’re going with multiple people, I recommend saving and splitting a bottle.

I love this little spot! It was a great experience to try Italian food that isn’t generic. The presentation is great and I’ve always had great service every time I’ve visited. There’s a waiter there I genuinely appreciate. He had small stature, and he just happens to be from Sardinia! I appreciate his honest feedback about the dishes, and hasn’t steered me wrong yet. I honestly don’t understand the few bad reviews that do come in…. If you’re one of those clean eating, gluten free weirdos… don’t eat Italian food. It kind of defeats the purpose. Why argue with an Italian person about Italian food when the only exposure they’ve had is Olive Garden? Karens in the reviews that insist people should be unemployed because they couldn’t get their way and make attacks on a hard working employee’s appearance shouldn’t be taken seriously.

The Fettuccine Alfredo was perfect and just the right portion size. Food 5 stars Jason, the bartender was professional and on point and left me alone it eat my meal in peace. Jason 5 stars Great job! I'd come back. I would recommend that you provided more gluten free pasta options. Every pasta is available gluten free but most restaurants only offer penne. Penne sucks and a lot of people are looking for gluten free options.
