We were planning a graduation dinner for our daughter. We’ve had take-out from LIK many times since the opened on Swamp Pike. I stopped in on a Tuesday and spoke with Fran. She was so friendly and helpful. I ordered a variety of half trays and garlic knots for a Thursday night dinner at home. I wanted to be sure it would be hot so I could serve it right away. Everything was labeled and in sturdy boxes for transport. We ordered chicken parm w spaghetti, chicken piccata, baked penne, meatballs, sausage/peppers/onions, chicken fingers and one individual Gluten-free crab valentini (which is so good). Everything came with extra sauce, honey mustard (as requested) and marinara-clearly labeled. We arrived right on time and everything was ready to go. Fran rolled it out to the car for us. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Guests age range was 9-69, everyone enjoyed what they ate. Great customer service I truly appreciate. We definitely recommend using them for parties! Wish I had taken some pictures.
I went with 3 friends for the first time. I have a gluten allergy and was told that the server could help me chose but they don't indicate on the menu. The server was helpful luckily the first item I chose happened to be gluten free. The food was good, not great but I was involved in deep troubling discussion at the time so that was an influence. The servers were very attentive which was unexpected because this place is huge, expansive and was filled with customers. The price for quality was spot on. An overall enjoyable experience.
We've been frequenting Basta Pasta and almost weekly for the past six weeks and have thoroughly enjoyed our meals! We're particularly fond of the gluten-free pasta with oil, sun-dried tomatoes, and spinach.
We appreciate the restaurant's efforts to accommodate our vegan and gluten-free needs. However, we've noticed that occasionally cheese is added to our pasta, despite our repeated requests for it to be omitted. (We know it’s standard to put in on top, it’s their signature move, but I think the person taking the order might not be relating to them we are vegan when I say it each time) We understand that this may be an oversight, and we'd greatly appreciate it if the kitchen could pay extra attention to these specific dietary requirements.
Overall, we highly recommend Basta Pasta for its delicious food and friendly service. We look forward to continuing to enjoy our meals there in the future.
Not only do they have some of the best Italian food around, super authentic. They have gluten-free options that in my opinion no other Italian restaurant compares to. One of my family members was able to have stuffed shelves for the first time in her life. Another had some of the best gluten-free pizza I’ve ever tasted. Most of my family are celiac, and Italian is always hard to find. If you were like me and you have a celiac family, but you are not you will appreciate being able to take your family to a place that has amazing gluten and gluten-free versions. You wouldn’t even know their gf pizza was gluten-free. Save room for dessert it’ll be worth it!
