Unfortunately, not everything was gluten free. My wife has celiac disease and became very ill right after we ate here. Apparently they are not fully aware of what is gluten free in their shop.
Excellent food, digestible, salads and sandwiches super seasoned and with excellent quality ingredients. Super kind and helpful staff. Also recommended for celiacs given the availability of excellent "coppi" of fish with gluten free breading. Fixed stop here in Modica, super approved!
Typical Sicilian tavern with a hinterland menu, rustic and clean environment, very kind waitress, very serious and prepared on celiac disease. Amazing desserts that knock you out
Tucked away in an alley named Via Santa Elisabetta, in the centre of Modica, this unassuming pizzeria and restaurant served us with an excellent meal, and service with a smile.
Found this restaurant on the "Find me GF (Gluten Free) " app and definitely worth a visit.
Also managed to find safe parking in the immediate vicinity which is a plus.
Location in the historic center of lower Modica with menu displayed outside which varies according to the seasonality of the products. Very attentive to the selection of raw materials, also very good at preparation, we tried various dishes, all good, but the sliced suckling veal served on a stone while still sizzling was top! Possibility to also eat vegan/vegetarian/ and attention to celiacs upon explicit request. Must try
I found myself in Modica to visit the
City with my husband and children. I have celiac disease and unfortunately finding a place to eat safely every time is not easy. Opposite this restaurant there is a fast food restaurant always linked to the same family and my children, attracted by the menu, wanted to eat there. My husband and I moved to the front. Precisely at the Dabbanna restaurant... I asked the owner if they made something gluten-free and when she replied that the entire menu could be made without it, I lit up. I ate a freshly made gluten-free tagliatella with a broad bean puree, crispy bacon and stracciatella which to say was DIVINE is reductive. I also had the opportunity to try some gluten-free bread with their delicious oil. The owner of a delightful kindness! I highly recommend celiacs and non-celiacs!!!
I have visited a number of times. Having gluten-free pizza is normally a bit risky but at QUBI it's the best gluten-free pizza I have ever had. Fresh and tasty ingredients, soft dough, friendly service. We always arrived between 7pm and 8pm and were served promptly.
