This place is no longer the gluten free haven it used to be. Called in today and asked if they had any gluten free food and was told categorically no. Nothing available gluten free. Very odd.
My partner and I had dinner at this restaurant specializing in mussel-based dishes. The atmosphere was very informal, we were the only customers in the room, which made the experience calm and relaxed. The waiters, two young guys, were really kind and friendly.
We appreciated the quality of the food: I had a starter of sweet and sour sardines and a second course of seared tuna with a pistachio crust. My partner, being gluten intolerant, was able to choose from a separate AIC certified menu and ate a plate of clams and one of gluten-free spaghetti with prawns and pistachios. We also shared a caponata as a side dish. Everything was very good.
The prices were adequate for the quality of the food and service (74 euros).
I would recommend La Cozzeria for family lunches or dinners, as a couple, and also for tourists who are in the area.
The best gelato I’ve ever had - pistachio and hazelnut flavours are incredible. They are very accommodating for gluten free needs; going to the back to separately serve your order so that cross-contamination is avoided
We returned several times to eat always quite satisfied except the last time for an event that happened.
Among others, we ordered a gluten-free pizza and it was served normal with gluten.
Only for my attention we avoided serious consequences
To err is human but apologizing instead of pretending nothing happened would have been appreciated.
I expected a decidedly different behavior given the seriousness of what happened.
A very good pizzeria, apparently very popular with the locals. It has a cantina atmosphere, a bit noisy, but the Italian is voluble. 😉
Note that you can also eat gluten-free pizzas there.

Very nice ice cream shop in the center of Castellammare del Golfo. We stopped one evening after dinner and one morning for breakfast. What can I say, the cannoli are spectacular, we tried both the one with pistachios and the classic one with candied fruit.
The cappuccino was also very good.
The availability of gluten-free brioches was also much appreciated.
Highly recommended!
Very good dinner we tasted the mixed starter and the prawn pasta, panna cotta for dessert. Everything impeccably tasty and adequate portions. Excellent table service. The gluten-free option was perfect, you could choose everything except the fried foods which were not possible to have gluten-free. Average high price.

We go every week to relax and eat fresh fish, delicious dishes, all super excellent. Care and attention also for intolerances and celiac disease. All the staff are professional and kind. The very kind Gloria is wonderful, attentive to everything, an excellent person and an extraordinary sommelier. Refined and delicious wines. Thank you for giving us these beautiful evenings and sometimes even lunches.
We had family lunch today and everything was perfect. From the fish menu to the meat menu, every need was fully satisfied, including the menu for celiacs which allowed one diner to enjoy the same dishes as the others. Of the Rosmarina appetizer, the presentation and the tastings offered are beautiful, including a special mention for the octopus salad with dried tomato. First courses equally excellent: the seafood sauce was very balanced, while the calamarata was notable for its excellent combination of almonds, toasted breadcrumbs with dried tomato and the very pleasant taste of mint which refreshed the palate. The service was excellent: professional and kind. Finally, the quality/price ratio is excellent. Absolutely recommended.
