Just left: as for dinner, as a celiac with a vegan diet, everything was delicious. From the cheeses, to the pizza to the almond paste. For me, finding the combination of the two and being able to eat without deprivation is almost utopia.
The restaurant is welcoming and characteristic, it has all the lost flavor of the past.
The boy who served us was extraordinary, whose name I unfortunately didn't ask, polite and kind, a rarity nowadays.
Last but not least, Andrea, the owner, who with palpable passion pampered us with respect and kindness.
Thank you and congratulations for creating such an inclusive place.
Gluten-free spaghetti with clams, bread, fried squid and shrimp, mini magnums…all really very good. Qualified and kind staff who give that added value to the restaurant. Price in line with the quality and portions. We will definitely be back!
Day 8 in Italy and first place to get the worst "pizza" ever in my many travels to Italy!
First of all, we asked for gluten-free pizza, this was 20min before they opened the restaurant just to check. So 3 guys were in the place, and we got a bit surprise at how bad the English was thinking that it's a big holiday place (S . Stefano).
Next, they told us to book in advance the GF Pizza because it's limited, so we did and asked if we could book the same day, but later on that evening and he was like "yes now if you like" and another guy said "come anytime" after I asked if 8 worked, very confusing dialog.
So at 8 o'clock we went to the place, a friendly girl asked for what we wanted and I pointed out a pizza, ( they have 3 different types of dough) but she just said "not possible today" Okay, so I asked for another type but again and now with a bad tone "NO, it's not possible today" So after some time I asked for the last type of pizza and ok the normal was OK to buy today!
So, the gluten-free arrival and shortly after my pizza. Here began the disappointment. The GF was pail and not any good. The other pizza was the wrong pizza, so I needed to wait further and once it arrived, the pizza was not cooked properly. The bottom was like elasticbans and had absolutely no taste, furthermore oure Aperol was like water!
So never will we come here again and we don't recommend this place!
Fantastic experience! I really appreciated the philosophy behind this place, everything homemade, zero miles, eco-sustainable and above all suitable for any type of diet. Even for celiacs and lactose intolerants, the options are really good: vegetable cheeses, gluten-free tortelli with a vegetable cheese filling, AMAZING gluten-free bread (all homemade by them). The jams were also very much appreciated, the pear one was special. Beautiful location, friendly staff and fast service.
I wanted a pizza and to eat with my loved ones... I'm celiac and it's not easy... but with them you can... professional, attentive, kind and super pizza
Every time we come to Castiglione della Pescaia it is a fixed stop: the sandwiches are superlative!!! They have different types of bread even for celiacs!! My favorite is doppio angeli e demoni, but they are also excellent: octopus, sea lampredotto etc.
You can't miss them! Top 🔝

I was a customer of the old management for years and I must say the place is still very nice, staff helpful and attentive to your needs. Very nice and clean.
I was unable to try the services because they are not yet enabled for celiacs due to contamination. Clean and cute.

Highly recommended for celiacs: almost the entire menu is gluten-free or available without gluten, except for the pizza.
Excellent fried fish and chips, all gluten-free.
Abundant and excellent dishes and with the "menu" option you can keep costs down. Only house wine which is still decent.
Impeccable service, the only flaw is the heat because there is no air conditioning, but the tables are almost all under an open porch.
Best pistacchio gelato i’ve had during our week in Italy. They have gluten free icecream cones and a big selection of dairy free flavours.
Very friendly service. We’ve returned ceveral times.
Called at 10:30 to find out if they actually did gluten-free and they did.
The waiters and staff were very kind, we also had the pleasure of chatting and laughing during the courses.
They have both pasta and their delicious seafood risotto without gluten which I highly recommend!
If you pass by Follonica, stop by!
Also excellent value for money
All 10/10!
When you order gluten-free pizza, careful attention is paid to this. We were also informed that the zucchini that goes on the pizza is fried in “contaminated” oil.
The service was also great! Very attentive and super friendly.
The food was great, the best pizza we have ever eaten! Any “extra requests” will be accommodated courteously.
The ambience is nice, depending on where you sit you have a nice view of the fountain.
All in all a wonderful evening thanks to this great restaurant and its friendly staff!!!
Highly recommended, we'll be back!!! :)
We spent a Sunday lunch at this restaurant and we had a GREAT time!!
We booked a table for 6 on Sunday morning, so when we arrived, even though we were late, we already had the table assigned.
We chose a gluten-free appetizer board and it was EXCELLENT and full of products and flavor: you can taste the quality of the food! In the meantime, the children ate a white penne, a tomato penne and gluten-free gnocchi with ragù. Afterwards we ordered a first course (pici with mushrooms; tortelloni Maremmani with ragù; tagliatelle with ragù without gluten), after which we were knocked out 😅 full but not bloated/nauseous! Only 1 coffee entered our stomachs 😊 so we left.
Cool place considering the altitude (no need for air conditioning).
Professional service: sociable and friendly, so perfect.
Parking: maybe the only sore point is that we parked on the street (just after the restaurant entrance uphill, there is a recess) but next time we will try to go up directly to the restaurant and see the parking up.
PS = my children had fun playing with the owners' daughter ♥️
Finally a place where you can eat a good sandwich and enjoy good beer!!! I was really happy, especially for the fact that my partner was able to eat with me since she has gluten problems. Thank you
Gluten-free pizza available, but it doesn't compare to other gluten-free options in Tuscany. The pizza base wasn't cooked properly and there were very few toppings, so it was unfortunately not satisfactory.
It was a pleasure for the palate and not only...The gluten-free sandwich was excellent and the local raw materials were delicious too. Top desserts 🤩 Small addition on the pleasantness and kindness of the manager Antonio, priceless. To return regularly, a place of the heart

Great gelateria also for those affected by celiac disease!! Extreme care is taken to ensure that there is no contamination. The employee disinfected your hands, took a fresh spoon and took out the ice cream in a fresh place. There was also a gluten-free cornet. We have never experienced so much attention! Grazie mille siete fantastici!!
Excellent pastries, very good ice cream. They also have gluten-free ice cream. We also had cappuccino, orange juice, orzo coffee. They also do good lunch and dinner catering. All good. At the counter the very kind staff is patient... The cashier a little less so.
Historic restaurant in the center of Santa Fiora. I don't usually eat in the same places on holiday but everything was so good that we were forced to eat here two nights in a row. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere with the two guys at the service extremely nice and good at explaining each dish.
Possibility of various gluten-free dishes (various starters, all main courses, gnudi as first courses and even some desserts).
Prices are low.
There is no reason not to enter this little gem.
A mirage in every sense!
On Sunday 6th July it seemed impossible to find a place for dinner in Porto S. Stefano that was gluten-free, until we found this delicious restaurant!
Compared to all the other restaurants we came across on the way, 'Alla Cantoniera' not only allowed us to enjoy excellent GLUTEN-FREE dishes, but it also allowed us to do so in an enchanting place with a sea view, FAR FROM THE ROAD AND CARS!
The prices are also fair, and not inflated like in many other places.
Thank you so much, we will be back 100%
I am Celiac and I really appreciated the attention to gluten that this restaurant has.
Allergens are described very well on the menu and there are so many Gluten Free dishes!
It was a pleasant discovery, we ate very well.
Amazing food for everyone! Have tried pizza and some other dishes - everything was incredible. I've never had before a gluten free pizza with a puffy chewy crust! Maybe never in a regular pizza actually :D Really recommended for everyone, not obly for those looking for gluten free.
Excellent experience, value for money more than excellent. In general the food is very good, a mention goes to the artisanal gluten-free pasta, which is very good. The owner is very friendly and gave us very good advice for both food and wine.
The food is really very good, people are nice. Definitely recommended if you want to eat nice in a friendly, calm, modest atmosphere. I did not have pizza, but worth noting a huge list of pizza choices with also different dough choices including gluten free are available.
Carefully prepared and tasty dishes. I had a risotto alla pescatora: fresh fish and very well cooked. My husband also enjoyed an excellent sea bream. I advised when booking that I am celiac and they helped me choose gluten-free dishes. Furthermore, both Leo and the boys are very hospitable and courteous. Excellent culinary experience.
Typical trattoria where you eat very well, generous portions and honest prices. The lady was very nice and attentive to our needs: we needed a gluten-free meal and she satisfied us. Highly recommended.
WOW - such a gem! The photos here don't do the justice. This place has locally sourced everything, organic, gluten-free, meat and vegan options, the food quality is of a michelling start restaurant and their house wine is delicious! The owner is wonderful, and the food story is worth hearing. Beautiful setting. Don't miss out on this! And yes - without any doubts, the best ice cream I have ever tried!
More than a restaurant, it is the classic trattoria, a little dated but where you expect to eat well and in fact, impeccable, fast service, fresh and delicious food. The friendly and professional waiters don't write anything down and don't make a single mistake, they even serve the right dishes to those who ordered them (impressive), excellent value for money, the possibility of eating gluten-free and if you want gluten-free frying it's possible to order. Unfortunately, few parking spaces. I recommend trying.
Pizzeria in the center of Manciano, you can enjoy appetizers before eating pizza, even gluten-free (frozen base). Helpful and friendly staff.
Waiting times need to be improved. Room with particular frescoes, possibility of eating in the external gazebo.
very good dishes! , from appetizer to dessert: seafood matriciana, stewed octopus, fried calamari and prawns, both normal and gluten-free, paranza, fried potatoes and dessert, both panna cotta and cheesecake! everything delicious! The bill was normal, plus they gave us a discount, friendly staff! What can I say, we will definitely be back.

We had a really delicious pizza — both gluten-free and regular. The service was quick and friendly, and we never felt rushed to order. A very pleasant and relaxed experience! Highly recommended.
A simple but classy place by the sea Their main feature is the use of seasonal and local raw materials, therefore fish caught of the day, vegetables harvested in the area and in season
What brought us here in addition to this was primarily the attention towards celiac people. Absolutely a place to recommend
The setting was certainly very beautiful and the service was ok although confusing (condiments delayed compared to the service, cutlery taken away and not returned, etc.). In any case, the staff presents themselves in an affable and kind manner. It's a bit of a shame about the food: appetizer (a platter of Tuscan cured meats) quite poor, raw materials not of the highest quality, accompanied by rather stale bread.
We then had two first courses, tagliolini (gluten-free) with duck ragù and pici with a sage and almond pesto. Good ragu, pesto bordering on edible (extremely salty and liquid). The almonds were practically whole and not part of the pesto. Pasta (both) completely overcooked, well beyond the cooking point and in both cases almost completely detached from the sauce - it probably doesn't help that both first courses were served on flat plates, which make it really difficult to eat the pasta well mixed with the sauce/pesto. We reported to the waiter that the pasta was overcooked, we were told that since there were so many people the kitchen was a bit packed and it would have escaped. Beyond this response, no action was taken nor did the restaurateurs try to recover the situation a little.
Positive note: wide availability of gluten-free choice and attention to the problem, which is why I gave two stars instead of just one and which is the only reason why I recommend it, in the only case in which someone has this dietary requirement.
To complete the menu, two glasses of wine, a bottle of water and two bitters. Wide choice of wines, all of good quality.
Fabulous setting with two super nice owners. All the food we got was great and there were plenty of gluten free options too. One of the best places I've ever been
The restaurant is in a nice location, but I expected more as I have been celiac for 18 years and I have enough experience to say that the place is far behind for a pathology that has now become almost an epidemic. They are careful about contamination but if you then serve industrial bread and breakfast in the morning heated in the microwave in their bags where damp and wet food remains, no! In a place like this the celiac must have fresh bread, pasta and desserts given that the price is always higher for the materials used! Or maybe buy a static oven just to heat up the stuff for us celiacs to make it at least edible, I'm sorry, I said it, you also have waiters!
A restaurant located in the center of Follonica. It has few tables, so reservations are recommended. You sit in a warm and pleasant tent. The menu does not include many courses, but all are cooked with love; you can see and feel the care and refinement in the preparations. Very kind in meeting the needs of a celiac person by specially preparing an appetizer that is also very good! The only flaw is the friendly service, but very, too slow.
