Great food in a chill pub, but the staff are what makes the place: my wife is coeliac and the pub is outstanding in the delivery of food that is a gift: no gluten delicious and professional. The staff, kitchen brigade, chef and publican have made our day. Get out there and support a venue like this ❤️👏
Found this hidden gem while strolling around marricvile area. Foods are amazing. This cafe serves different variation of menu compared to other cafe around. They even has GLUTEN FREE banana bread and matcha pancake!! Staffs are very friendly. Their matcha latte is very good that I have to order another one for takeaway. Another bonus..this cafe is dog friendly..definetely worth to try !!!
I recently discovered I’m gluten intolerant, so my options are pretty limited.
Really good food! Highly recommend.
Different options available, including vegan ones.
Place is clean too
It has been at least 15 years since I dined at Bay Tinh, it was my favourite restaurant for years. I returned on Friday night with a group of friends who have never been there before. The food was delicious, the taste and freshness were absolutely how I remembered. The biggest plus was that they totally catered for our dietary requirements, vegan and gluten free. I can't believe it has taken me so long to get back there and I cannot wait to return. All my friends were super impressed too :)
Wouldn’t eat here again. The chips are cooked in contaminated fryer and gluten free bun was buttered, so i guess was contaminated and not grilled so dry and gross. Wouldn’t recommend
We discovered Hello Auntie somewhat by accident - but, what a find! The food was so very interesting (and delicious) - really fresh new takes on some classic Asian/fusion fare.
The service was great (perhaps a little more confidence and volume would have aided - but we got there).
We booked a somewhat late sitting, but glad we did as the restaurant was still very busy when we arrived.
There's a great vibe about the place, buzzing but not overwhelmingly loud... which is especially surprising given the amount of exposed brick.
Really good options for those needing to eat vegetarian and/or gluten free - we did one of the banquet menus, and it was all gluten free!
I would have no hesitation in recommending Hello Auntie to anyone and everyone!
Favourite Chinese restaurant in Marrickville with such a broad selection of gluten free options that taste delicious - they definitely don’t compromise on flavour! Highly highly recommend.
I love this place! I dined here with work colleagues today for our Christmas lunch. We loved the prawn toast and the Mongolian lamb the best and we had the crazy Hong Kong French Toast for desert. A big shout out to our amazing waitress Heidi who coped with all our mushroom allergy, gluten free, non seafood, don’t like honey oddities! Yes we love that matrix Heidi! Old Skool Chinese is the best! The Bob Hawke memorabilia is really interesting. It’s a great place! Only downside is the parking - just come in an Uber or get public transport.
If I could give these guys 10 stars I would. Their breakfast salad is the ultimate breakfast if you want the best mix of flavours..it's full of the highest quality greens, almond flakes, black sesame seeds, an egg and beautiful lemon labneh...the flavour mix is truly masterful...comes with sour dough toast (or ask for their gluten free toast).. and don't know what magic they are using but they get kale to taste damn good..I crave this breakfast now...
We went for breakfast on a Sunday. The cafe was busy but not packed. We ordered the avocado toast with a side of mushrooms, and another member of our party ordered the Bibimbowl. The avocado was lovely but the “toast” was not toasted and 2.5 mushrooms (which tasted beautiful in a rich umami marinade) for $7.00 is a bit rich. The Bibimbowl came out with a long hair (the dish was replaced and the owner apologised). The karage chicken was wonderful - fresh, tasty and gluten free. But where this cafe falls down is service. On multiple occasions staff were abrupt and outright rude despite us all smiling and being appreciative of their difficult jobs. It creates an awkward experience for diners because the space is stunning - bare concrete skeleton structure with plush white and copper kitchen in the middle). Anyway, I hope it survives because with some customer service training this place could really do well.
Most authentic Vietnamese food, delicious, generous servings, well priced, made with care and love for food, food service. Also naturally gluten free (coeliac safe for banh cuons). One of my new favourite places.
I am coeliac and Phil was adamant that I was able to eat his food (I’ve had MANY food trucks refuse to serve me because of my allergy to gluten). Not only was the food amazing, I didn’t get sick! Anyone who knows, knows just how good you have to be in order to be precise enough in your skill to cater for all dietary requirements. 11/10, we need more food trucks like this!
We werr pampered with so many great gluten free options. We ordered the salt and pepper squid (I requested no pepper) and sweet and sour BBQ pork with rice. They were both tasty. Decent portio of meat and veg. (A bigger container with more rice would make it more value for money)
Gorgeous large cafe/restaurant staffed with lovely, passionate and efficient employees, in the heart of Marrickville.
FOOD: Wide variety of cafe-typical food alongside some unique great Middle Eastern/European offerings. They cater to vegetarians/vegans and impressively so, to coeliacs, with a number of savoury and sweet gluten free options.
STAFF: I left, wanting them! They have that down-to-earth, proactive, passionate, friendly vibe! Whoever hires... Well done!10/10
AMBIENCE: Gorgeously refurbished post office... Think high ceilings, ornate details etc with a modern fresh stylish vibe. Bench seats and chairs and table seating... Easily fit groups of 10+
LOCATION/ACCESSIBILITY: Wheelchair and pram friendly, both in and outdoors. Located in the heart of Marrickville along the main street. Outdoor seating captures gorgeous sunlight and allows for dogs and kids to play with a open space next door.
OVERALL: Highly recommend, will travel to eat there again! The staff alone are worth dining there.
Tacos and service was unreal! Best tacos I’ve had and I’ve been to Mexico!! Make sure you get the charro beans!! Definitely coming back! Great gluten free options as well!

Glace has been our go-to for family birthday cakes for over a decade. The round cake with a variety of ice cream balls on top is a true hit. The option for gluten-free cakes and the abundance of leftovers makes our orders even more enjoyable.

You can never go wrong with a refreshing acai bowl on a sunny day🌞! And this joint definitely hit the spot🍓! The staff were very accomodating and friendly with helping us decide what to get! Also don’t be fooled by the long line as it moves really quickly 🥰
Order:
🍌 Acai Bowl ($16.50) - organic acai, gluten free granola, banana, strawberries, add on $1 honey.
One of the best açais I’ve ever had! ❤️The thick texture is unbeatable and it was the perfect amount of sweetness and flavour 🍯. I would definitely recommend this joint if you’re after top tier acai! 🤌🏻

We were pleased to see they have a vegan burger on the menu. The fritter was good but they put it on a gluten free bun because their regular buns have milk. To be honest it really lets the burger down and feels like an after thought. Please get a regular milk free bun. The burger is not cheap so the extra effort should be made to make all the ingredients of high quality.
Disappointed… we eat at Cabramatta and Canley vale regularly and this wasn’t at that standard.
The squid was more like a Chinese restaurant and overcooked.
The pork and prawn in the pancake was overcooked the actual pancake seemed deep fried- it was chewy.
It’s a pity a the staff were great- as were the vast gluten free options.it was also at the high end pricewise.
I would say this was a western focussed asian fusion restaurant more than traditional Vietnamese
Please, be careful, if you have gluten intolerance. Staff told me that ice cream with no dough-like ingredients is gluten free. I’m gluten intolerant and I’m paying a price today for the mistake made. Ice cream I ate (chocolate and strawberry) highly probably is not gluten free.
Update for reply:
Thank you for the reply, I really appreciate it. It can be tricky to keep product out of cross-contamination: when cooking or using the same scoop when serving ice-cream. In this case even when a flavour of ice cream does not contain any gluten, it will be contaminated by accident.
What amazing food and friendly service! The delicious cookies caught our eye walking by, so we decided to stop in for lunch we were not disappointed! They were very accommodating for gluten free options, which was great for my celiac friend! We will definitely be back
