We were there last night, arriving at 9pm even though we hadn't booked, they welcomed us with smiles and kindness, they made us sit down and explained the menu to us. With extreme professionalism, I'll start by saying that we are a mess: a celiac who is lactose intolerant, they advised and accommodated our every request. The gluten-free focaccia with bacon and potatoes was SUPER EXCELLENT, and the pizzas with special dough were truly AMAZING!!! Since we liked everything, at the end of the evening we asked for a pizza to take away which we ate today and it had lost nothing! The excellent service, professionalism and courtesy are the masters and super compliments for all the doughs. We will definitely be back if we return to the Verona area!
Thank you so much for everything
I never leave Google reviews, but I feel genuinely compelled to write one after what was easily the most bizarre dining experience I’ve ever had.
We were looking for a vegan restaurant in Verona, and this place stood out—it looked lovely, with a great concept: locally sourced, organic, gluten-free (not important to me, but fine), and fully vegan. So we decided to give it a try.
I ordered the ravioli, and honestly, I was shocked. It tasted undercooked, the sauce was bland, and there was barely any seasoning—it just felt completely unbalanced and flavorless.
But what really pushed the experience into surreal territory was the music. They were playing a one-minute cover of Every Breath You Take—just that same short version—on repeat. Over and over. For the entire meal. After a while, I had to go find someone and ask if they could please change the music because it felt like I was being tortured. I’ve never experienced anything like it.
I thought the waiter was very nice actually he seemed a bit embarrassed when I asked about the music but the hostess in front for refused to make eye contact after I made this comment.
To be fair they did include a free small appetizer of fennel and Apple, my girlfriend liked it so she ate mine.
Between the food and the atmosphere, I’ll definitely never go back. Just a deeply strange experience from start to finish.
Best pizzeria in the center of Verona hands down, variety of revealed regarding the pizza doughs possibility of gluten-free doughs.
Typical pizzas that a little more revisited always good and tasty.
Particular place, not a tavern, but very well-kept and studied.
Staff attentive to requests.
It's a great restaurant, but it doesn't feel like Italy, from the music to the menu. It stands out for its gluten-free dishes, from pizzas to other dishes, and it usually receives a lot of people for this reason. It has an easily accessible English menu and they close relatively late in the city, which is a plus in the summer. We ordered a margherita pizza as a starter and two mains (carbonara and gnocchi bolognese), both very good, but I found the carbonara a little salty! In total, the cost is around 40 euros for a couple who don't drink wine.
Dinner with à la carte menu, good tigelle and plenty of seasonings, my daughter took the gluten-free menu and it was really good, soft and tasty.
Beautiful area of Verona practically 2 steps from the historic center.
Today, December 8th, we enjoyed a wonderful gluten-free lunch. We started the holidays in the best possible way. Thank you!
Elisa and Ivo from Pescantina
Excellent, nothing to complain about!!
Wide selection, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
Quite a selection of beers, and wines too.
Good advice.
It is a wonderful and beautifully decorated restaurant, the most notable thing is that they have a gluten-free pizza dough which I think is the best in all of Verona. Well done!
If you want to feel special - order the lobster. Being gluten-free, I'm blessed by how nicely they prepared the gluten-free pasta with the lobster. Truely superb. Would recommend & come again. Even the starter bread is available as a gluten free option.
To be avoided, strongly not recommended!
There are no options for celiacs. The gluten-free burgers are cross-contaminated, and even the roasted potatoes, according to them, are not gluten-free and are also contaminated.
They advertise with gluten free pizza’s, but they in fact have not. Gluten free pasta takes 30 minutes. You have to pay upfront. It turns out to be incredibly salty. We had were 2 and had separate meals.
Starter: Vegetarian antipasti - unseasoned, partly raw, loveless, level at Leipzig's Vegetable Allerlei
Pizzas: unseasoned to tasteless, some dough still raw. The gluten-free base was a very bad finished product
Service: ok
Conclusion: Better not to go. We definitely cannot understand where such a good rating comes from and are absolutely disappointed. We decided to forego dessert and get some delicious ice cream elsewhere
Well-kept and clean place, panoramic view of the Arena. We had already been and it was a pleasure to return, varied menu and the idea of adding places to visit nearby was much appreciated!!
Very courteous and helpful waitress.
The dessert for celiacs was a real surprise, perhaps the only complaint was that the crumbled and slightly more abundant almonds would have integrated better with the dark chocolate mousse!
Overall it was a pleasant and tasty experience we will be back!!!!
Pizza by the slice with different flavors. Abundant toppings. Deep soft pizza. Possibility to customize flavours, with a wide choice including gluten-free. The ladies are always very kind and for an unspecified amount they also offer a drink! To try
I went to this restaurant specifically for their famous cutlets with gluten-free options. I booked, warning that I was celiac, and when I arrived they told me that the breading had run out and they were unable to do it. In addition, the environment was uncomfortable because the room was empty and the staff was there pressuring us to leave, making us feel uncomfortable and in a hurry to eat while staying there for less than an hour.
Very nice place. We went there because of the gluten-free menu and we were not disappointed because a person with celiac disease could eat there. We didn't have high expectations, but the food was tasty and the prices were similar to those in Verona. Hassle-free communication in English. Reservation recommended!
Lovely restaurant offering a nice selection of dishes, most of which are traditional of this area. They could accommodate gluten free needs and the staff were very helpful, friendly and professional.
magnificent cook, meat that doesn't require a knife to cut, soft as butter. gluten-free options, even packaged bread so that there is no contamination. I've been there several times and we promise we'll be back! Thank you for the service received today, a very special day for me. 🤗
I actually didn't dine in as there were a few options glutenfree, but with a risk of cross contamination,. Making a comment for those who want to go there but have heavy allergy, as it was marked as a glutenfree place, but is not really.
Spectacular gluten-free pizza in a very welcoming square. Initially, we thought it would be a typical tourist spot, but it wasn't! And the prices were VERY good!

Very informal, simple and pleasant place.
You order at the cash register and pay immediately, then you sit down and once ready you are called.
Wide choice of sandwiches, salads, fish dishes: good, fresh ingredients.
Gluten-free menu available, and really excellent bread! I have never eaten such a well-stuffed and delicious sandwich (and gluten-free too).
Very honest price for the portions.
Review written out of a vegans perspective:
The restaurant looks beautiful, traditional and especially attracts omnis with little breads with all kinds of spreads and hams they have in their bar.
I found one vegan option: pasta with vegetable ragu, dried tomatoes and a kind of pesto. It is normally with a whole wheat pasta but I asked for gluten free pasta and had it with gluten free spaghetti instead.
It looks simple but was extremely tasty and delicious. It is pricey though.
My husband had escargots and carpaccio and found it very tasty
Typical, beautiful, organized tavern; top service, top dishes, top wine list!
I will return with the family.
Excellent management also for celiacs
Well done
Excellent food, courteous staff, modern and sober environment. The attention to the quality of the ingredients and preparation is commendable. Gluten-free dishes also available.
Very nice restaurant in the center of Verona, excellent and rich gluten-free options (I am celiac and could have eaten many second courses) with raw options and also sugar-free desserts. Excellent value for money, they even have gluten-free beer. They also made me a gluten-free focaccia with chickpea flour, truly top.
