The service was great and the food was delicious. It’s always a bonus when they cater for coeliacs as that means I can eat safely. Definitely recommend as all the staff that served us were really lovey.

Possibly Croydons best kept secret. If you are looking for an Italian experience that is all over sized pepper grinders and red and white chequered table cloths then perhaps it is not for you but if you want an authentic slice of Italian café life then seek this place out. My favourite spot for superb coffee and food that is the definition of home cooked. You will pay twice as much for portions half the size and of a much poor quality of ingredients in numerous supposedly top notch restaurants when compared to the food on offer here. Also there is a small delicatesen section, offering a selection of high quality, gluten free products. Perhaps the single negative is given its compact size then it does not have a public loo but that has also allowed the owner to nurture a genuine community atmosphere with a loyal customer base, many of whom come on a daily basis along with others who go out of their way to visit.
