I cannot imagine a better dining experience. We traveled from London to Scotland and this was, leagues and away, the best meal of our trip. Everything was fresh, inventive, seasoned perfectly, and the server talked us throughout the evening and was delightful and funny. Both my kids devoured their meals and wanted more, which is a rarity. Our drinks weren’t overly sweet, and our desserts were outstanding. We ordered almost half the menu and would come back and order the entire menu if we could. As someone who often struggles eating gluten-free (allergy), this was a meal I could get over and over and I am so grateful for our dining experience!!
Another vote for the amazing gluten free fish and chips! Plus the salt and chili squid. Not many gluten free options, but I went in for the fish and chips and was not disappointed. Both the haddock and monkfish were fresh and flavorful, and the batter was so crisp and delicate, and didn’t overwhelm the fish. Lovely and helpful staff, too. This definitely set the high bar for gluten free fish & chips across continents!
This is THE SPOT! Friendly, warm, and approachable, with immecably elegant, inventive, and inspiring food. Flavor profiles are incredible, served beautifully. The people LOVE FOOD, creating it, sharing it, and experiencing it. There are selections to meet everyone's preferences as well. In fact, every dish has a code, with all major dietary restrictions next to it; dairy, nuts, gluten, and 11 others, so you know exactly what is in everything. 10/10 this should be on everyone's list 🥰
This welcoming and cozy family-run restaurant is serving up tasty and authentic Moroccan food with great service and nice touches. Intimate atmosphere. Delicious tagines. The chef's special Moroccan Chicken fell off the bone and was so good. Homemade zaalouk and hummus, and they have gluten free pita bread! And don't sleep on the fantastic teas in Moroccan silver pots, like the honey lemon ginger or the Louiza.
So I heard that Paesano was the best pizza in town, and headed out to lunch with my wife.
The pizza was exceptionally Italian - you couldn't get closer unless you were in Italy. My wife, being celiac, ordered a combination of different sides - delicious artichokes, olives and salad.
The menu was WELL priced and totally worth it, service was good. Recommend.
I ate at this restaurant this evening.I ordered food and said I was allergic to gluten, they reassured me it was not a problem and they would take care of it.
They brought me a plate with aubergine and tortillas, I ate them but then, because I didn't feel well, I asked if the tortillas were gluten-free and they said they had gluten.
It is an incatteable mistake, I am celliac but I do not have a reaction that requires hospitalization, but someone else could have had a severe allergic reaction.
These mistakes should not be tolerated. Without a doubt I will not return to this restaurant.
I visited with my parents and I think all three of us really enjoyed ourselves. My mum was especially pleased with the gluten free options and choice of dessert (from the typical choice of pavlova). Generous portions ensured we ate far too much, but the food was amazing. Staff were lovely, attentive and friendly with service being swift without being overbearing. Only 'downside' was being seated right beside the main door. We thought we might get cold in a draft but staff were very quick to put the heater on to ensure we weren't cold at all (without us asking). We never noticed any draft at all. It was actually quite nice to sit there as we were able to see how busy and popular the place was with customers coming in and delivery drivers/riders picking up orders. I look forward to a return visit (and another full stomach of very tasty food!) 😀
