A new absolute must for my family when we come to universal! Unexpectedly reasonable prices and genuinely fantastic food that you wouldn’t normally get at a theme park. The inside atmosphere was a lovely cross between whimsical under the sea, elegant and cozy. I can’t think of anywhere else I would rather end our long (but awesome!) day. Servers were fantastic, friendly, attentive and charismatic, everything you’d want them to be. There were even great options for my mom and her gluten allergy!
Only drawback is it was absolutely freezing inside. Noticeably colder than regular chilly air conditioning in the summer, and we were so uncomfortable, we asked to be moved outside (which ended up being beautiful so no real problem).
Simone provided us above and beyond service today! My gluten allergy was taken very seriously. The chef delivered my food.
Great selection for non gluten free folks and a decently good selection for GF folks, including GF soy sauce!
The Gluten Free service here was above and beyond. Our server was fantastic and fully knowledgeable. After I placed my fully GF order, she still got it "approved" by the chefs, which was awesome. It came out clearly marked as 'allergy'. The Atmosphere here is very cool, with a large stage, and live music. Everywhere you look is vibrant and fun true to universal nature!
I have a gluten allergy and was very well taken care of. The assistance chef Heidi was very helpful and took her time preparing my order separately. 10/10 would recommend, thank you Heidi!
Had a great experience, our waiter was very knowledgeable in terms of allgeries, specifically gluten in this case. Our food was excellent and arrived quickly. The atmosphere was great with lots of sports showing simultaneously. All for a very reasonable price, great portion sizes and amazing quality.
Hats off to Chef Chad. My grandson is Celiac and becomes very ill if gluten is in his food either directly or through cross contamination. We spoke with Chef Chad who was very knowledgeable. He took the time to speak to my 9 year old grandson and prepared and personally delivered his safe meal. He made him feel special which was much appreciated. We were at Universal for 3 days and had lunch at Finnigans twice. We are Canadian and will spread the word on how amazing our experience was at Finnigans.
Without a doubt the best dining experience we have had at a theme park and our new favorite restaurant at the parks. My wife had the roasted chicken which features a Moroccan inspired flavor profile. It is served on a potato cake with root vegetables. Each element was cooked perfectly. The menu did not indicate it was gluten free but the chef was kind enough to assure us that it was (so either the menu had not been updated with the new item or it was modified). I had the seared tuna noodle bowl. It is served cool and has a higher spiciness so maybe not for everyone. This was truly an elevated meal that we would have been happy with at any restaurant. We honestly felt that the meal was a bargain for its quality and portion. How often can you say that about a restaurant inside a theme park? Don't sleep on Confisco.
There's a pretty good selection of food. The price is fair considering it's location. We didn't have to wait too long before being seated and our stroller was accommodated for. There are some gluten and dairy free options for those who need that consideration.
Great burger. The veggies are fresh, the flavor is amazing, and they do gluten free! I told the chef I have celiac and he cooked my burger separately. They have gluten free buns, the cheese sauce is gluten free, and they have tater tots for us gluten free folks! Would highly recommend. It was an experience.
Great place to eat and great experience. Food was delicious and came to our table fast. I especially love the care and attention they took with my food as I have Celiac Disease and needed all my food gluten free with no cross contamination. Chef came out to take my order, she prepared my food to ensure safety and brought it to my table herself covered. I greatly appreciate when I can eat somewhere and know that my food is safe to eat and won’t make me sick. No reaction at all and it was delicious! I had the chicken with roasted potatoes, corn on the cob and lemonade for the drink. Husband had the chicken and ribs and said it was delicious as well. We both loved it!
Joe was so awesome and excellent costumer service! I will always visit this place when in Orlando. Thanks Joe for the great experience!!! Very Knowledgeable about GLUTEN FREE options is a plus!!

We are at Toothsome twice during our recent Orlando vacation. The first time was for dinner and dessert. My partner is gluten sensitive and vegetarian; thankfully the menu was clearly marked and the waiter was knowledgeable about items that could be alerter to accommodate dietary restrictions. I had a steak sandwich and peanut butter dessert the first night and my partner had a veggie pasta and flour-less chocolate cake. We enjoyed the atmosphere and food so much, we decided to return the following day for brunch. I'm addition to the restaurant, we enjoyed the gift shop and even picked up a small souvenir.

I sat down here with my five friends. My food came out and tasted good, but my poor friends did NOT have the same experience. The cookie did not even taste like cookie. The seating is horrible, it’s strange and unlike any other place. My friend with celiac got a massive amount of tater tots. She didn’t eat them because she didn’t know if they were safe. She paid tons of money for an L rizz meal… her grilled cheese was bad too. The cookie from earlier? Oh yeah, RAW. Might as well run behind the counter and munch on a handful of raw cookie dough. My other friend didn’t even GET her food. Very homophobic. Smh. Not the mention, the waitresses had negative aura points for not even giving good service. Do NOT munch here.
This review is based on a legit seafood restaurant sitting inside a theme park
truly a hidden gem imo! step out of the busy people filled street in Florida heat into a upscale, chilled spot with a beautiful saltwater aquarium placed right in the middle of the downstairs seating.
If it were not in a theme park I’d probably do 4 star. But it’s not so here’s to 5 stars!
-indoor and outdoor
-upstairs and down stairs
-cleanest bathrooms in the park
-gluten free options
-don’t forget we’re talking about a restaurant in a theme park!
-tuna app is fantastic
-cappuccino slaps if you need one
-never had a bad waiter or waitress
-never had a bad meal here
-never visited universal and not eaten here
-located across from Dagon Alley so you can hit ice cream or butter beer right after
This place will let you escape the park life just long enough to yearn for more. Whoever decided to put this in the park, BRAVO!
My wife and I were visiting on our anniversary. She ordered the Reggae Jamaican Jerk Chicken, which is advertised as "gluten senitive" i.e. for people with gluten intolerance. When the dish arrived it contained nothing mentioned in the description. After our inquiry we were told that certain items contained gluten. While that may be true, that still did not explain why the dish is advertised as such.
The result was a small piece of chichen and half a plantain. Not even the "half chicken" as advertised, but two small chicken thighs. We even went as far as to explain to our server that the items left off the dish (rice) do not contain gluten and are safe, which is also why they are included in the dish stamped "gluten sensitive"!!
Unfortunately, nothing was done about it. We paid for our meal and left.
The entire experience just felt wrong. We never complain and understand that mistakes happen, but we both left feeling foolish and duped. We both simply hoped that our server or the restaurant would do the right thing, however, not even an apology for the miscommunication or misunderstanding or whatever it was that happened was given. It was business as usual and we were just another table being turned over.
If you do visit this place, I can say that the atmosphere is nice, they usually have a band playing and the place feels lively. But warning to those who order anything and have dietary restrictions to please speak up and advocate for yourselves if something is not right, but do not expect them to address it nor do anything about it, because they will not.
This was our second time visiting Universal in two years and given the occassion for the night it left an extra bit of sting in an otherwise good vacation.
Tucked in a corner in the Jurassic area, we got an outdoor table facing where the Jurassic water ride splashes down. You can find a seat & order from the app, or have someone get a table & you can order at the register. But you need to know the table number. They deliver the food to you.
My rotisserie chicken salad was excellent! So freaking good. My hubby got pork nachos that he said were good, not great. We both loved watching the water ride while we ate.
If you are gluten free, they had lots of options that were clearly marked.
