Award winning fried chicken. Gluten & Dairy free.
I'm here a couple of times a week. It's little chicken place, parading as a coffee shop. There are a few seats inside and nice patio for when the weather is good. The staff is friendly. It's cooked to order so it usually takes a few minutes to get your order.
I'm addicted to the Chick-bits. They are moist and tender with a crispy crust. I like the spicy seasoning on them with white sauce.
I started by eating the chicken cutlet (ji pai) because I read promising reviews in the paper. I would have it with the fries, with Taiwanese seasoning. However, the portions are pretty generous here and I swapped to eating the chick bits to protect my burly figure.
If you're a fan of great fries, these are always hot and delicious. They come with a seasoning that's great. If you're dairy free, tell them, the seasoning has some ranch powder.
The loaded fries are over the top and more than a meal. He makes a dairy free version for me, which is still creamy with a couple of mayo-based sauces. They compliment the spicy seasoning.
They have a creamy coleslaw (bae slaw) which is chunky with a twangy sauce. My favorite is the diakon slaw which is long shreds of horse radish and carrots in a light vinegar dressing.
They started as a food truck, having lots of teas and coffee drinks. I've had their citrus and ginger teas in the summer, but in the winter, I focus on the espresso in chai tea.
They have other dishes with a Taiwanese flair. However, if this is your first time, you should really try the chicken sandwich or the chick bits. They are tender, delicious and as amazing as the reviews claim.
Brunch was DELICIOUS!!!! Finding satisfying gluten free breakfasts can be very hard but Canava Cafe nailed it!!! Brunch at the Seed was a success, allowed for us to take in healthy DELECTIBLE food, and provided time for some movers and shakers in the Atlanta area to network and share ideas.
Such an awesome experience. Somehow feels like going to dinner at mom's house!
The main lady was so sweet and caring. Also all the employees really knew there stuff for allergies!
Great vegan and gluten free options.
If only it came with a warning, food is hot! Will burn and blister your mouth. But that's definitely user error.
Please please please give them a try.
Soothing cafe with a large snack selection.
It's a soothing spot that has a clean look. The server was pleasant and helpful.
The menu is varied and extensive. There are dozens of tea and coffee drinks. Lots of those choices are without dairy. Weirdly, they don't have an espresso machine.
The snack menu has a good selection of fried appetizers, small sandwiches and bento boxes. There are a few gluten free items like fries, and a rice veggie burger. Yeah, you just gotta see it. It has rice patties as a bun with veggie filling.
I had some unsweet tea with a side of sausage. Both were fresh and tasty.
We recently used Kamayan as our caterer for our wedding of 100+ guests and could not be happier! They were very easy to work with, transparent with their pricing, and affordable. They had a great set-up team who arrived on time and were extremely courteous and competent. Most importantly, the food was INCREDIBLE! It tasted just as good as it does in the restaurant, and looked great in the trays (unfortunately we did not get pictures). We had no trouble accommodating vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free diets. They provided limes and sauces for the dishes as well. Most of our guests had never tried Filipino food and we were told by many of them that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had!!
