This is my first time in the new location. I have been coming in for years ever since I was 9 years old and had my first slice of that amazing pizza. I'm originally from NY (Long Island) and got an opportunity have a great conversation with some of the family and found out we hail from the same neck of the woods. Now I bring my kids and love it as well. So they were originally located in a plaza near Northlake and moved to a larger newer establishment fully equipped with a bar. I stopped in yesterday and the menu is pretty straightforward and I've had most of everything is enjoyed it. I went for something new this time: The meatballs and the Sausage and Peppers over a bed of pasta. They have gluten free options as well if you would like some menu items over rice. Those meatballs had to be some of the most delicious things I've eaten in a long time. The sausage and peppers had the right kick to it, added a little parmesan cheese and it was heaven. They also have cocktail menu. I ordered myself a whiskey old fashioned. Correction 2... since the first one was so good. I enjoyed the atmosphere... updated look but stuck to the basics of what dining italian is all about.

Just got back from a delicious breakfast at this hip place! I have been hearing about this place and was excited to get there today! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile. There was a short wait, which I take as a good omen! Here are a few of my observations: 1. The menu has some delicious options and is dietary-needs aware. There are options for vegans, vegetarians, those with gluten free needs, and carnivores! 2. They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner- so you could really go anytime. It is sort of a fancy, hip diner. 2. I ordered “The Benedict”, which was delicious. (I opted for no ham- so cannot review that!) the poached eggs rested atop a layer of spinach and a light and airy biscuit. The biscuit was so huge I could t eat all of it. At $13, I felt it was fairly priced. My son had the breakfast tacos which he loved. He traded out the chorizo for chicken and raved about the mix of the hominy, onions, fresh avocado, and verde salsa! His meal would have been $11, but the chicken added a whopping $4 upcharge- making this a bit pricey. (This 17 year old has a penchant for Posh eateries). We also shared an order of fried green tomatoes- ringing in at $8- which were a definite palate pleaser! It came with four sizable ‘maters topped with a really delicious ranch sauce. I could have eaten this as my meal- and may do that on my next visit! 3. Our server was friendly and got us everything we needed. Refills happened before we had to ask, which is something I appreciate in a restaurant. 4. A DJ set up when we were nearly finished, so we didn’t get to hear much, but the tunes he was spinning were really a fantastic addition to the vibe. 5. My only complaint is that it was a bit warm in there. However, my son told me that it wasn’t- so maybe it was just me… 🤪 I will absolutely return. I want to check out the vibe in the evening. There were many other menu items I wanted to try!
