Why say you offer gluten free options and have educated staff, when all I can eat here as a person with Celiac Disease is a soggy burger and flavorless mashed potatoes? Why did the cashier roll her eyes when we ordered? Why did we get attitude for ordering food with allergy alerts? Fix it.
The food and service here are exceptional. Many gluten free options, including gluten free buns. I had the pulled pork burger with gf bun. It was so delicious! They also have alcohol beer. We'll be back next time we're passing through Effingham on I-70!!
The person that took care of us, Anthony, was so kind! I have a severe gluten allergy that makes going out difficult. He so happily made my meal safe. He changed out all the serving utensils, washed his hands, put hand sanitizer on, put on new gloves, and grabbed safe lettuce for me. Even when a coworker came to help that didn’t have safe gloves, Anthony chose safety and did not accept the help.
This employee goes above and beyond to help his customers fell safe. I will be telling everyone about this experience! This place is great for those with gluten allergies
I love Joe's in Effingham! We eat there a few times a month. They have good Gluten Free pizza. The gluten full is delicious too? But i sadly shouldnt eat it anymore. I also love the chef salad. It's huge! I can get at least 2 meals out of it. The pasta is good too. Sweeter sauces make me a big fan of this place.
The service is amazing. Friendly serving staff who have been there forever. I'm not related to or friends with anyone at Joe's. I really appreciate their food and service!
I can’t say enough good things about Firefly Grill. The service was great. Nice selection of food and drinks. Gluten and dairy free options. Loved their unique soup options as well. A delicious dessert menu as well. The ambiance is very nice which makes it a great choice for a special occasion or everyday dining.
I have a daughter with Celiac so eating out is a hassle. I was shown how to get the menu for gluten free options and that menu notated if there was a chance of cross contamination. DEFINITELY will be eating there again. Our service was great, the food delicious.
Gluten intolerant here, been coming to this location for years. When they introduced the gluten free English muffins, I was happy they at least had that. Now they stopped and won't give any bread substitute that won't make me sick. No gluten free pancakes, no substitutions, had one nice server yesterday who substituted fruit, and one inflexible server today who just shut me down when I asked and didn't want to ask permission. Don't come here if you have food allergies, they don't care.
The food was exceptional. We had a larger party of 11 and they were able to accommodate use. The service was excellent. We live an hour away and have now book marked this delicious establishment for future visits. They also accommodated two individuals with gluten intolerance and celiac. Everything was fresh, tasty and remarkable.
