I am not exaggerating when I say the citrus poppy seed muffin I had today brought tears to my eyes. West Meadow Farm Bakery has, hands down, the best gluten free baked goods I have ever had. The absolute best part? Their loaves of bread are actually sandwich sized!!!!! I cannot wait to make French toast with the oatmeal bread, and a grilled cheese with the white bread. Many dairy free options as well!
Gluten free baking is expensive. There’s no getting around it. There are so many ingredients and components involved. This place is 100% worth the cost. I’m already spending $8 a loaf at the grocery store. I would rather pay $10 for a better quality product and support a small business. And the bread isn’t pre-sliced so I can cut it to my liking!!! I can’t wait to go back!
Food was very tasty but for the burger it costs $3 to add on sweet potato fries, 2 or $3 for a gluten free bun, and even $2 freaking dollars to add tomato and onion, what?!? All these things cost normal prices, are easily available, and should be options not requiring repricing. Furthermore the moment I walked in with my water bottle filled with spring water I was told I couldn't drink that in there due to policy, but they didn't have any non-sparkling pure water alternatives, instead forcing you to drink disgusting heavily chemical laden tap water. I never write reviews so the fact i'm writing this is your sign. We can't support businesses with practices like these with our hard earned money.
I had the Demeter Omelette- it so good with fresh ingredients, Gluten free friendly too. my order w/o cheese was correct and they had dairy milk for coffee. Great atmosphere with outdoor seating.
After the lunch rush. Very few people in the place. Food was very good. Service was good. Tables weren't quite as clean as I think they should be...could have used a wipe down. Seem to be very knowledgeable about gluten intolerance.
Great fresh food with many gluten free and vegan options and the workers always have a smile when I walk in, The firecracker sauce is to die for! I buy it in the bottles they sell to bring home, it goes well with anything, highly recommend this spot on pearl street
Great food. Nice level of spice for my taste! Service is good. Everyone is super friendly. I am vegan, gluten free and soy free and there were many yummy dishes for me. The atmosphere is somewhat shabby and the lighting is rather bright and harsh. It’s a small small restaurant. But, the food was worth it.
I ordered gluten free Alfredo and asked them to label it on the container. The to go waitress was wonderful on the phone and said everything would be taken care of.
Upon arrival my food was stacked under a gluten dish and two pieces of bread. I have celiac so cross contamination is a big issue. To clarify what was going on I called the restraunt and they said it was a policy to put a piece of bread with every order unless I SPECIFY otherwise. Despite me saying I have a severe allergy to bread I still received it in my order and was told I need to ask otherwise.
I have been eating at this restraunt for years and have never had a problem with it. I’m highly disappointed in their awareness concerning allergies and cross contamination.
Amazing food!! We sat outside and had a beautiful view of downtown while enjoying an amazing meal. Definitely get the pork belly lollipops! Our server was very sweet and double checked some ingredients for my gluten sensitivity. 10/10!!
Leo & Co is a consistent winner for us! From the sandwiches to the grab and go market - everything is super high quality and delicious. I particularly love the gluten free buckwheat sourdough from Bonte Bakery with the Ploughgate creamery butter!
