The food was absolutely amazing and our server was wonderful. That said, everything took a really long time and our meals were not super complicated. The food was worth the wait and I am thankful that we had the time to wait. I had the 21 Day Dry Aged 14 oz NY Strip along with the 1700 Preparation (Whipped Potatoes, Root Vegetables, House Worcestershire - which is gluten free) I ordered my steak medium rare and it was done perfectly. And, proof that they are truly a steakhouse was the perfectly done steak at medium rare temperature without an attempt to talk me into cooking it more. Thank you. Whipped potatoes were amazing. Carrots, in my opinion were slightly underdone but were tasty. For dessert, I had Chocolate Marquise (Macerated Strawberries, House Granola, Basil) and it was absolutely to die for. So good. This was a little more than I typically spend for a meal but had a wonderful range of choices/prices. The meal here was as good as any truly fine steakhouse but my final check was less than I expected it to be. The steak prices when I visited ranged from $35 to $88 with the bulk of the steaks in the $40-55 range. Every ounce of the steak was tender and there was zero gristle. Worth the price. The higher end steaks ($80-88) were Wygu so that is also not a surpirising price.

Everyone knows 1700 Degrees is an awesome restaurant, but I wanted to let people know that it is also a spectacular venue to hold a private affair! I recently held my son’s wedding rehearsal dinner (24 guests) in one of their private dining rooms. I will try to be brief, but there are not enough words to describe my wonderful experience! From the beginning, Najib helped me with all aspects of the event - which private room would accommodate my music video, the menu selection, where to have the cocktail hour, table placements. . . you name it! He was wonderful to work with thru the entire process. Nancy met me the morning of the dinner and helped me bring in my flowers, decorations, favors, etc. so that everything would be at the location when I came before the event to decorate. To my delight, when I got there to decorate, our servers for the night, Peggy and Heather, had the private room and the reserved cocktail area in the lobby already decorated! Centerpieces, candles, flowers, lighted garland, place cards, welcome board, favors displayed on a table. . . both areas looked gorgeous. They gave excellent service the entire night, with many guests remarking to me the next day how great the service was! Thanks again, Peggy and Heather, for everything! The guests were able to choose from a fish, chicken or meat entrée and everyone said their meal was delicious! Compliments to the chef! Who, by the way, made a gluten free version of the grouper entrée to accommodate the bride. Everyone involved with the restaurant and the Hilton went over and beyond to make my event so special. I will be forever grateful! Thanks to everyone! Georgia Liddell P.S. Another example of people bending over backwards for me, 30 minutes before the guests were to arrive, I was trying to do a trial run of my rehearsal dinner video and couldn’t get my computer to work with the TV. . . PANIC! Peggy went to get help and in 1 minute, 3 men where beside me, along with an IT person on the phone, and with everyone’s help, they were able to change the settings on my computer and fixed the problem in just a few minutes. Truly lifesavers!
