We really want to like Barolo Lounge, it offers a good range of options including vegan and gluten free and a number of the staff are very nice. However, our food has been very hit and miss! We often go for the Buddha Bowl and 90% of the time it was one of more elements listed on the menu missing, usually this is rectified if you mention but there's also been a number of occasions where they don't have it available (and don't offer a substitution). The portion sizes of the buddha bowl also seem to vary considerably. We had a good experience with the Beyond Burger at another branch so we decided to go for that on our last visit. The burger was undercooked (but edible), the salad was some rocket that had gone off with a bit of salsa mixed into it. The rocket was so bad (it has a kind of fishy smell when it goes off!) that my husband went off his meal and requested a refund. The chips looked refried/ overcooked, overly oily. I would expect better for the price you pay, especially when compared to the excellent food we've had at other branches. Very disappointing

Absolutely wonderful!! Just the shot in the arm that Yeovil town centre needed!! Like every Lounge that we've visited, and that's quite a few now, they all have a similar overall theme but with subtle differences that reflect the town/area that they're in. And like the others the food we had was excellent, hot & well prepared so no qualms there. Staff were all nice & friendly, and an amazing choice of fare, especially for those with gluten intolerance/coeliac disease, it's the most extensive menu of this type I've ever seen, so top marks again for that. So, now Yeovil has a viable alternative to the the usual burger bars and 'chips with everything' places, and certainly not viciously expensive either, we will be back, that's an absolute certainty!!
