Byblos Downtown

We went to this place on my birthday and it was quite a treat. The ambiance was nice and the service was great. I did find the portions so small for all the dishes except the fried chicken. Everything tasted so good and especially loved that they could very easily accommodate gluten free. I would go back but just for the fried chicken and cake for dessert.

I love Byblos’ downtown location. It’s tucked away from the hustle and bustle of King street, and is easy to miss if you don’t know about it. But once you’ve been, it’s a spot you won’t forget. The location is large, dimly lit, and chicly decorated with upbeat music playing throughout the night. The service is excellent from the hostess to your server. They’re friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I was dining with a friend who is gluten free, and the server was able to point out what was and was not gluten free on the menu, as well as making some accommodations, where possible. The quality of the food is fantastic. Almost every item on the menu is a hit. The portion sizes are fair (though for a sharing style dining experience, I would prefer slightly larger portions). As you would expect for an upscale location like this, pricing is on the high end - Easy to spend $80-$100 per person.
