The atmosphere and location are fantastic inside Topanga canyon it really feels like a quiet little town much farther away from LA than it actually is. It could possibly be that we were there at a very quiet time which is why the food took a while but we were there for about 45 minutes before our food what served the food was good but otherwise unremarkable. I ordered the barbecue burger medium and cajun fries, however it came out medium rare which is fine if the burgers are ground in house. The fries were crispy well seasoned and not overly salty. All around a very pleasant experience though the burger could have done with a few less mushrooms. My partner had the seared ahi tuna tartine and truffle fries. Fortunately they had the option to sub in gluten-free bread which is a surprisingly hard thing to come by even in LA. Although lacking in truffle flavor their fries were also crispy and fresh. Other than the wait time it was a perfectly fine lunch

The waitresses and bussers were lovely, but our food was horrible. When we were ready to order, we were informed that there were several items not available from the menu and the waitress explained there was a supply issue. Other parties were informed of this right when they were seated. I had already chosen the risotto, which was not available, and I requested her help with chosing a gluten free option. She offered any of the burgers with a gluten free bun, or any pasta dish with gluten free pasta. These options were not on the menu, so I was happy to have options and chose the mussles with gluten free pasta, and my husband ordered shrimp Diablo with angel hair pasta. When my order arrived, my pasta was almost raw, and it seemed that the person cooking didn't know there's a different cook time for gluten free pasta. My husband's angel hair was nicely aldente. Both dishes were extremely salty, almost inedible. I almost asked to have the pasta taken back, but my husband convinced me not to, since it seemed like the waitresses were already struggling with the ingredients shortage. We were really hungry and tired and just wanted to go home. We ate our very salty undercooked pasta anyway.
