I really wanted to like Casa Mía, especially with its nice sign and balloons welcoming Washington Track and Field State Championships participants—unfortunately, that was the highlight of the visit.
I ordered the manicotti in a butter cream sauce, and it was honestly inedible. It arrived drowning in what seemed like a full cup of straight butter poured over the top. It wasn’t a sauce—it was a greasy pool that made the entire dish unpleasant. I wish I had thought to take a picture. My daughter had the chicken parm, and it wasn’t any better. The chicken was bland and soggy, with a strange texture that didn’t sit right.
Some members of our party had pizza, which seemed okay—definitely better than the pasta dishes, but still nothing to write home about. We did appreciate that there was a gluten-free pizza option.
The manicotti and chicken parm were supposed to come with a choice of soup or salad, but our waitress never asked for our preference and never brought either. While she was friendly, the service overall was slow considering how few people were in the restaurant.
We left disappointed, still hungry, and wondering how a place could serve food like this. Definitely not worth the price or the wait.
