The library alone is worth the visit, but there's plenty of other things to see and do.
We were treated with a quiet politeness by everyone working or visiting. Cannot comment on the residence experience but some of the negative reviews seem couched in a waspish vituperation that suggests a lot of baggage has been brought in with visitors, rather than being the fault of the institute.
'No barrista-style coffee', forsooth!
No, but peace and quiet and space for contemplation.
Thank you to all who find the time to help keep this place going as a garden for the soul and a haven from the busy, busy world (where I'm sure Bruno will whip you up a gluten-free ethically-sourced organic soy lite decaf chai latte with a sugar-free caramel twist just as soon as, if not before, you snap your fingers in their general direction).
