The food was as expected from a tapas restaurant, nothing to rave about. The service was odd. We had a reservation and were seated at the top of the restaurant. When the server had approached us, she was very quiet and seemed disinterested like we were inconveniencing her. It was my first time at this restaurant and I asked for her to let me know which menu items were gluten free in which she took the menu to write what was available. She was very throughout with writing what was available. We then had another server approach us saying she was going to be taking over our table, while the other server was waiting tables there. The vibe from the servers was that we were inconveniencing them and they lacked the hospitality I would expect from a restaurant in uptown. I’m always very kind to servers so it threw me for a loop receiving this kind of poor service from a restaurant I was excited to check out. I’m thinking the servers at the top of the restaurant make less in tips based on how they seat people possibly based on their appearance and how nicely they’re dressed. Despite some of the food being good, the overall experience left a sour taste in my mouth.

Last night my daughter and I had dinner at Dandelion Market uptown after the Jesse Cook concert at the Booth theater. Hadn’t been there since the Beth Hart concert in 2018. The food is absolutely amazing. Definitely one of my top favorites for quantity, quality, service and price. Highly recommend. She said there’s a club upstairs but we got there after 10 last night and the first floor was almost empty. Food still absolutely brilliant as was the service. She is gluten-free and they had a menu, explaining how they can do gluten-free options where possible. We got the stuffed poblano - to be honest, it’s not one of my favorites, but I tasted it and I wanted more! That the mussels, pork belly, were all gluten-free. The pork belly was absolutely wonderful. It was teeny tiny, sweet for me, but the texture and the portion were beautiful, and I would definitely get that again! She obviously didn’t eat the bread that came with the muscles but I did, and dip it in some sauce that I spooned onto my plate really really good! We ordered the two sliders, and they brought one without bread for the gluten free option - still amazing. Short ribs and fried pickles. Had to be the best short rib app I’ve ever had anywhere. Pickled onions were just perfect. Seriously, as was the gravy. The rib? Literally just melted and it was not strong gravy. Really highly recommend a visit, I promise you would not be disappointed! If anything, they were better this time then they were five years ago, and we loved everything back then.
