Dano's Heuriger on Seneca

We visit Dano's when we are in the Finger Lakes, and there is a reason we keep coming back. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the views of Seneca lake from the patio are spectacular, the service is exemplary, and the food and wine are wonderful. We visited Dano's for a birthday celebration and could not have been happier. Our waitress was lovely, knowledgeable, and just the right balance of attentive and also giving us space to experience an amazing meal. We shared three spreads and three salads, and they have many vegetarian and gluten free options. For main dishes we ordered the 1/4 chicken, vegetarian bento box, the heuriger burger, and an amazing catfish made gluten free. The wines we had paired perfectly with the dishes, and for dessert we had the panna cotta, chocolate apricot torte and the mohn torte with port and coffee. We really cannot recommend Dano's enough, and I know we will be coming back here for years to come.

This is one of the few times 5 stars is not enough. Everything about Dano’s was better than excellent! We ordered the schnitzle (gluten free), goulash, spatzle, red cabbage, mashed potatoes and sauerkraut for our main course. Each dish was spectacular although the goulash stole the show. For dessert it was braised pear and strudel. Both delicious but the strudel was amazing. The mulled wine was also great! Service was impeccable. I only wish we got there earlier to see the sunset and the lake.
