HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I ordered and prepaid ($58.00) for a birthday cake online one week in advance and requested ‘gluten free,’ in the ‘special request’ option. I stop at the bakery to pick up the cake on my way out of town and the person says to me, ‘Yeah, we left you a message last week that we don’t do gluten free cakes.’ I HAD NO MESSAGE FROM HONEYSUCKLE BAKERY, and, furthermore, when I pressed the issue suggesting perhaps a followup call or a text would have been helpful when they didn’t hear back from me the worker said, ‘we don’t have time to be calling customers everyday.’ When I mentioned to this employee that there is no where on the website that says they do not offer gluten free cakes. She defiantly replies, ‘there is no where on the website that says we do offer gluten free cakes.’
Ignoring her confrontational response, I pressed her further and said, ‘that is why under ‘special request’ I ordered the cake to be gluten free.’ Her reply, ‘that’s not what the ‘special request’ option is for.’ REALLY?!?!?!?
Bottomline, this extremely rude employee had no concern or care for the major inconvenience Honeysuckle Bakery had caused me (THE CUSTOMER) and could not have cared less that I was heading out of town for a birthday party, without the cake that I ordered/paid for one week in advance.
First and LAST time I will ever frequent this establishment!
