Eating out with celiac disease or gluten intolerance can be so difficult to navigate. Tonight, I ordered a burger protein style with a gluten allergy. When I got to the window I was told how sorry they were, but that my burger had come into contact with the wrong spatula, and they needed to remake it. It would only take a few minutes and to pull around and park close with my hazard lights on. It would have been SO EASY on a busy Friday night to just send the burger out anyway, but the gluten allergy designation was taken seriously- something not many other places can claim accurately. I’m so overjoyed and thankful that the in-n-out staff took the time to explain what had happened, and make a burger that was free from cross contamination. Thank you all. You made my night by showcasing how seriously you take gluten free!
