I’ve been a loyal supporter of this restaurant for months—my family are wine club members and I’ve always looked forward to enjoying my favorite glass of wine and my favorite gluten-free pizza. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was deeply disappointing and genuinely concerning.
I arrived before opening and waited respectfully in my car until 4 PM when they opened. Once seated, I wasn’t greeted by a server for 27 minutes. When my server, Mel, finally arrived, I placed my wine and food order right away—clearly stating that I needed a gluten-free pizza due to an allergy.
After being told there was an issue with the oven and waiting nearly another 30minutes, I was served a pizza that I immediately suspected was not gluten-free once I ate it. When I asked my server to double-check, she confirmed it was not gluten-free.
This is completely unacceptable. Not only was the service extremely slow and unprofessional, but serving someone with a food allergy the wrong item is a serious health risk. I had to leave right away to take care of myself, and the entire experience left me incredibly upset.
I’ve recommended this place to so many people in the past—but now, I simply can’t. I’ve never felt so disregarded at a restaurant, especially one I used to speak so highly of. I truly hope the team takes food allergies more seriously moving forward
