L'Unico Trattoria Italiano

Located right on the beach, this restaurant made the perfect pre beach lunch spot. Seating available inside and outside, with views of the ocean from many tables. We enjoyed this restaurant so much, we returned for lunch again later in the week. My husband and I both require gluten free meals, and there were entrees, mains and desserts that were available gluten free. The gluten free pizza bases were thin and crispy, just like we love them, and the gluten free garlic pizza was to die for! Both times I ordered the eye fillet, but the second time, I included the optional prawns. Highly recommend for coeliacs or those needing gluten free. Parking can be hard to find on the weekend, and we found parking easier when we returned during the week. Will definitely return here next time we are in FNQ.

Awesome location, just across the road from the beach. Brilliant atmosphere with friendly staff. So good we went twice during our short 4 day stay at Trinity Beach. Dinner was delicious and serve sizes enough to satisfy most hungry tummies. Two members of our family have Coeliac disease and though the restaurant staff could not absolutely guarantee that there wouldn't be any traces of gluten, we were happy to say that both of the Coeliac members did not have any issues afterwards. Thoroughly recommend L'Unico if you are in the Cairns area.
