Situated along the Alsace wine route, Lucien Doriath is a must see for lovers of artisanal duck and foie gras dishes. The attached restaurant (La Table du Domaine) operates different hours from the shop, and was closing as we arrived (13:30hrs), but the staff were willing to accomodate our party and made us feel at home. Marc and Olivier have assembled an unparalleled gourmet experience, but speciality comes at the expense of breadth. Had we arrived in time to savour the full menu, I fear our mixed party may have struggled to find dishes to suit all, though I did note there were vegetarian and gluten free options. As I said, lovers of duck and foie gras will be in heaven, and if that's you, I can heartily recommend stopping by to sample their delights.
