Mixto Latin Cuisine

Mixto provided a truly unique and delicious dining experience. Each dish had its own distinct flavor profile and the sauces were perfectly balanced. The ceviche clasico was refreshing with a nice lime flavor, although some may find it too strong. The tacos birrias were excellent, with three large tacos. The lomo saltado had great flavor, although it was a bit salty for some. The adobo was a pleasant surprise, with tender and flavorful meat. Despite some small hiccups in service, I highly recommend this casual and enjoyable restaurant.

Cozy neighborhood spot that recently opened. They have another location on West Portal as well. We were served complimentary chips and salsa upon arrival, which were delicious with nicely crunchy chips. Highly recommend the Ceviche Mixto for a fresh seafood mix with a tangy lime flavor. The Birria Tacos are filled with tender, flavorful meat and come in a consomme-drenched shell. The Chicharon de Pollo offers flavorful chicken with a tasty dipping sauce. Don't miss the Platano Frito, perfectly cooked sweet plantains. The service is excellent, and the staff is friendly. A wonderful addition to the area. I also recommend trying their sangria or the delicious non-alcoholic option, the chica morada (corn cider)!
