Murph's Gastro Pub, Derragarra Inn, Cavan

Loved the food here. Everything looked amazing. I had the duck and some soup and both were quite delicious. Excellent at handling gluten free.

Three of us ate here a couple of weeks ago and I was very impressed. The food and service were excellent - kudos for finding tasty gluten-free buns! - and the place was very busy, even though we were definitely lunching late. (14:30-15:00hrs, ish.) The staff were quick and efficient, with enough time between courses to feel that you could let it settle, but without feeling as if you'd been abandoned. The surroundings at the back of the restaurant area could do with brightening a little, I think, but it was clear from everyone around us that the customers were having a great time and enjoying their food. For two people having three courses, and one having two, plus drinks, our bill came to €108.38. It certainly beats Dublin prices, that's for sure! It's possible we went home and had a nap afterwards - the portion sizes were very good. I'm looking forward to going back soon!
