I’m not usually picky, as long as a place is clean I am happy. However, I feel that the advertisement for this hotel was more upscale than the reality. In reality, this is an old motel with thin walls (so you can hear everything), no air conditioning, and beat up walls/doors/furniture that is trying to more than it is. Also, the location is on the beach, but if you want to stay here for things more north (ex Hoh Rain Forest, Ruby Beach), there are better options located by those locations.
If you check in after 8PM. good luck finding a place to eat. The Ocean Crest restaurant requires reservations for dinner. We went to the restaurant for breakfast the following morning - it was good, but the waitress was SO rude. The menu specifically says that the staff if we’ll trained in food allergies/willing to accommodate and the waitress acted like it was an unreasonable request to find out what is gluten free. Then, she was rude to us the entire meal.
