We dined as a party of 3 and explained on entry that one of us has a gluten intolerance (not allergy). We ordered 3 pizzas, one gluten free, and a portion of gluten free doughballs. The pizzas then arrived and the manager informed us none of the pizzas were gluten free.
The issue was then resolved quickly and a gluten free pizza was put through very quickly. However, the waitress who took our order then came over and asked if we’d ordered a gluten free pizza to which we replied yes and then she asked us if we were sure?? When we ordered the gluten free pizza she also asked additionally if we would like vegan cheese, which she didn’t ask for the other pizzas, so she was aware the pizza had medications required. Moreover, I’m confused why she’d think that we’d order gluten free doughballs and no gluten free pizzas.
The whole interaction felt very accusatory. I then spoke to the manager.
There was nothing removed from our bill as an apology which I felt could have been a minimal apology.
There was also very little cheese on all three pizzas which isn’t ideal especially as one of the pizzas was a margarita.
Not somewhere we’d return.
