Pork Barrel BBQ

We got take out here the other night and it was fantastic! I decided to pick it up myself to avoid delivery fees and such. Super easy window on the side of the building. Got a meats and sides combo. Pulled pork and chicken were fantastic. Portions were generous. Not dry. Just the right flavor. All the sides were great too. Classic taste. Seasoned but not too much. Make sure you ask for a bunch of sauce at the window bc the meats come plain. The house sauce was awesome. Perfectly tangy. Bonus, the meats and sauces were gluten free. One of the menus from the restaurant groups website also marked the gluten free sides. Total bonus. My partner has celiac and ate everything without trouble.

One of my favorite neighborhood spots. Their BBQ is really good, and the sauce selection is top notch. Sweet tea! (Be still my Southern heart.) Great slaw. And you can order from their sister burger restaurant two doors down if you sit at or order from the bar. One suggestion: Restock a hoppy cider, even if it's not Bold Rock. (It tastes great with the BBQ IMHO.) It's been ages since I've been able to get one there, and it's the only place I really want one. If you're gluten-free like me: You're pretty safe here. Just ask questions, and make the choice that's right for you. I've never had a problem. (I have a wheat allergy, not Celiac, so YMMV.)
