We had a lovely dinner yesterday evening to celebrate my birthday. It was superb. My husband, who requires a gluten free meal, had the rib eye steak which was cooked to perfection. I had the Confit of Duck, which absolutely out of this world. It was very flavoursome and tender. The staff were amazing and extremely helpful and attentive. Especially the young man who waited on us. I can't wait to return.

We luckily stopped here after picking pumpkins at nearby Copas farm one rainy Sunday. What a find, great reasonably priced food and friendly, helpful staff. We sat in the pub section, better served than in most restaurants! My husband was over the moon with his roast beef on the bone, my son gobbled up his kids meal and my gluten intolerance has never been so well catered for. I was able to pick from three GF beers, had special GF yorkshire puds on my roast plus a delicious GF Bakewell tart with custard to finish. I’m writing this beyond any potential reaction, say no more. Thank you to The Red Lion, we will be back!
