Sake Restaurant & Bar Manly- Permanently Closed

Our group of six dined at Sake (Manly), and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is stylish yet relaxed, perfect for a group gathering. Their menu offers a great selection of gluten-free options, making it an easy choice for those with dietary needs (me!). The food was beautifully presented and full of flavor—everything from the fresh sashimi to the perfectly grilled meats was top-notch. But the real highlight? The desserts! The service was friendly and attentive, and the waterfront location added to the overall charm.

Wish I could give them 10 stars! Sake is a beautiful upscale restaurant overlooking Manly Wharf. We sat at one of the tables outside and the view was incredible. The menu is quite extensive and has clear allergen markings. My partner is coeliac and the menu made it very easy to identify which dishes were gluten free and coeliac friendly. The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. They made sure the dishes we ordered were safe and repeatedly made sure to add the allergy note to the order. Even when they brought out the dishes they reiterated that it was gluten free which really helped put us at ease. Everything we ordered was delicious. The standout dishes were the kingfish and scallop nigiri, salmon sashimi, pink lady sushi roll and the wagyu strip loin. The salmon sashimi was incredibly fresh and creamy. The wagyu strip loin was so juicy and the potatoes were perfectly seasoned as well. My favourite was the scallop nigiri, never imagined scallops could taste like that, it was so soft and melted in my mouth, unreal! Hats off to the staff for their wonderful service and attention to detail. Will definitely be back again in the future!
