If you're Gluten Free, go to the other Singl-end in Garnethill. Merchant City say that they're Coeliac friendly and have GF-available on dishes, but when you order those dishes Gluten Free they then say they have to take a lot of ingredients out. Which would be fine, except when we went the chef refused to do the swaps saying it would be too much work. So despite what my previously excellent experience of Singl-end was (from going to the Garnethill branch), do NOT go to Merchant City if you have Coeliac.

My family visited Glasgow last week and this was one of the first places we ate. It’s rare to find a spot that makes everyone happy (my son can be picky and I need decent gluten free options), but this place had something everyone was excited to eat! My son’s French toast was a hit, the gluten free farmhouse bread in my meal was some of the best gf bread I’d ever had, and my husbands more traditional Scottish breakfast made him very happy. The server was really nice to us and especially sweet to our kid. I’d go back in a heartbeat and would definitely recommend!
