We ordered 5 poutines that included 1 traditional, and 1 traditional veggie (gluten free). When we received them, they were indistinguishable. We called and they said the veggie had mushrooms, but it did not. We spoke to the manager who said they had forgotten mushrooms in the gravy that day. We asked why they didn’t mark which was which, to which they said they were too busy to use a pen to put an X or V or GF symbol on one box. Would not replace the poutine. All of us have worked in the food industry, and would never cite “not enough time to mark on the box”. They said we can’t mark it because we can’t guarantee gluten free. We replied we aren’t asking for a 100% guarantee - we understand cross contamination happens - but we would appreciate some way to tell them apart. They hung up on us.
EDIT: We appreciate your reply and the refund, and do understand what it's like to be busy - as I said, we have all worked in the fast food industry and have dealt with new years, christmas, and busses full of baseball teams. I hope in the future you will handle phone calls at busy times a bit better and maybe mark the boxes for those who have allergies or simply want the vegetarian gravy. We all have room to improve.
