Beautiful and historic railroad. I visited from America to see the Talyllyn and was not disappointed. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. I learned so much and they are very open to answering any questions you have about the engines or railroad. The train ride goes thru beautiful scenery and seeing the steam engines in action is a very special highlight. Also, the cafes have very good food and can cater to gluten free. Will definitely visit again and would recommend.

Really great day, tywyn wharf has a great shop, souvenirs are a little pricey but there's some nice stuff there, especially the railway memorabilia etc, the staff were friendly and genuinly enthusiastic about the railway,... and the cafe does a great gluten-free breakfast!!!! All reasonably priced! The car park over the bridge allows 8hrs of parking for just £2 Talyllyn railway was a forming part of my childhood and it was fantastic to visit once again, I shall definitely return yearly from now on.
