Chimney house was my best restaurant experience in quite some time. It is located in the quaint and historical Sailboat Bend neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale. The indoor seating has the warm ambiance of a home and the outdoor seating has plenty of natural and fan breeze to keep you comfortable and is covered. The service was warm and efficient. My wife and I each had a beer and an entree and with a 20 percent tip it came to under $60. I ordered the tempeh, (I was impressed that they offered it). It came with rice, black beans, sweet plantains and homemade salsa. The portion was so generous I couldn't even order a second beer or dessert. Everything was fresh and authentic. As a matter of fact I saw an employee leave and return a bit later with boxes of fresh garden vegetables. There were many gluten free offerings. There was a good selection of beer and cocktails. I would give 6 stars but 5 is the highest available. This is one of the few restaurants that I've visited lately that I know I'm going back to.
