The Pheasant Inn, Bassenthwaite

The pheasant Inn is a beautiful place to stay, it was well maintained, clean and has a very warm and beautiful interior. We had diner and breakfast which were both outstanding, they catered for gluten free and vegetarian. Well worth a visit if you are in the area 👌🏼

Our room was fantastic. Quite big. I think we got upgraded due to it being our honeymoon. The food was awesome and the staff always helpful and friendly. My dad had really hurt his back and the manager was calling around all the staff who were due to come in to see if they had a hot water bottle for him. My wife is celiac and they were good at knowing what was gluten free etc but more importantly they were on it to make sure there wasn't any cross contamination so there was an elevated amount of care seen to the matter. There are good walks in the area with a decent little hill right behind the pub to go up. Would definitely stay here again and for longer. The photo is of the oldest bar in the place which was cool but there are plenty of books and crannys to get comfortable all varying in age and decor
