The shrimp tostada special was disappointing. First it was hard to eat as the "filling" kept falling off. It needed some nacho spiced cream cheese spread so the shrimp and veg would have something to stick to. Refried beans would have been too pedestrian. I missed the fresh ingredients of a normal tostada though... some shredded lettuce and scallions would have added a lot of juiciness and freshness. Also the shrimp needed a little more kick, just a pinch more cayenne. Then serve it with a side of sour cream or fresh guacamole! Now we're talking tostada! That would be yum! Instead of ho-hum.
Dessert was fabulous! Flourless chocolate cake covered in ganache with whipped cream. My sister is eating gluten free so she was particularly happy with it.
The service was excellent!
The atmosphere was good. We were seated next to the kitchen so it was a bit distracting and noisy.
