The Atrium Lounge

We came for afternoon tea with my mother and mentioned that we were celebrating a graduation, but nothing special was done for the occasion. The food and tea were beautifully presented, with careful attention to our dietary needs—gluten-free, garlic-free, and no pork. Our reservation was at 4 PM, and their website stated that afternoon tea continues until 5:30 PM. When we arrived, there was live piano music, but it ended around 4:15. When we asked why it wasn’t continuing, we were told it had started at 3 PM and had already ended. If this had been mentioned on the website, we would have scheduled our reservation accordingly. If tea service continues until 5:30, we believe the piano music should as well. After 15 minutes of piano, all we heard was bar noise and crying babies. This experience did not match the standards expected from a hotel of this level, especially at this price point.

Quiet oasis in heart of city. Great for a quiet read, while you are discreetly served from a broad selection of wine, spirits and teas. It boasts an extensive gluten free "set" of menus. My only downside is they could match their tea selection with some really good filtered coffee choices. Wonderful for afternoon tea, the Peculiar tea with Hendricks gin teapot is a nice twist.
