We booked for a Friday lunchtime and were instantly made welcome...our dog too. Staff were friendly and helpful and ordering didn't feel rushed or pressured. The food was delicious, lovely and hot and all freshly cooked. There was plenty of choice for everyone and veggie, gluten free and vegan options. Lots of local produce here too. Prices were reasonable. We will definitely return.

Went out for a family lunch and was not disappointed in the slightest! I'd been looking for somewhere that offered gluten free food and the Bertie Arms menu doesn't disappoint. I will say though, go with an appetite, the portions are generous! Both my mum & I had the Bertie burger (one gluten free) and hubby & my dad had the fish and chips. Absolutely divine! The batter on the fish and onion rings is light and crispy AND gluten free. The burger is solid meat and the apple slaw is lush. The chocolate trio I had for dessert literally speaks for itself - warm chocolate fudge brownie, chocolate salted caramel ice cream and a chocolate cup with crushed honeycomb sprinkled over it. The service was second to none and the staff were super friendly and very cheery. We'll definitely be back again!
