We had a fantastic time and a huge part of that was the fine dining experience facilitated by Sean Murphy. Sean was a delight from the start with his charming personality and exceptional service. The food was also outstanding. We both started with the French onion soup as we were coming out from the rain. Great broth, loads of cheese and not a problem to do sans croutons for me because I have celiac’s disease (gluten free). Sean was also great in helping me navigate the menu with concerns about my dietary restriction. The steak cuts were exceptional. I had the filet and we also had the bone-in ribeye. Mushrooms were excellent. The only thing that disappointed was the mashed potatoes- they weren’t light or fluffy, instead they were a very thick — almost a grits looking texture. However, when I raised concerns about the quality of the dish, it happens that is just the way they serve them. The situation was quickly remedied by offering a substitute. And the potatoes Au gratin are excellent. Highly recommend. We topped dinner off with their flourless espresso chocolate cake. Yum! The cocktails were also fabulous and I had a delicious cab with dinner. Thank you, Capital Grill for a delicious food and beverage experience, and again, thanks Sean Murphy. Cheers!
